Dumbass Potheads.... What gives?

What is with this lately?

I mean, some people on here.... good lord. I hate to say it, but if somebody ever needed an argument as to why marijuana should stay illegalized- they need to look no further than this forum right here. All the proof they would ever need...

And really thats sad. I'd like to think we can do something about oppresive marijuana laws.... not re-enforce them.

For new stoners its understandable- everyones a beginner at some point, and you learn as time goes on. I try to be helpful and point these people in the right direction- because many people did the same for me when I was young, and I did appreciate that.

But some of the self-proclaimed "potheads" are simply DUMB as all hell. It makes me sad in some ways...to be part of a community that is the very reason MJ is illegal here in the states. I urge all potheads (new and old), DO YOUR RESEARCH! The info is out there! Know what you are putting into your body, know how it works, and how it beneficial and harmful, KNOW YOUR SUBSTANCE!

Anybody else gettin kind of fed-up with it? Or is this just me? Don't get me wrong, I'm not all knowing or even close for that matter, but some of this stuff is even as basic as common sense. And if potheads dont even have that, how are we ever gonna get our mary-jane legalized?

 

Well for one thing i definately agree with you. Some people are just too stupid they are doing it though.

 

Some people are dumb but others are lazy and/or curious.

I'm not talking about people like you- I mean you're alright bro, you know a good deal about things you claim to love- and that shows me you're very real. While I may not agree with everything you have to say, you know how to state your opinion and argument in an intelligent and legible way, and you actually KNOW what you are talking about.

That is a HELL of a lot more than I can say for some people here. I mean, I'm honestly not talking about anyone in particular (though some do come to mind), and all you guys posting here are alright. There is a big difference between being chilled out, mellow, passive guys like you- who just don't take things online too seriously, but you know what you gotta know if you ever need to use it.

Sometimes people come off as 'dumb' when they are high, but are totally competent and intelligent people while sober. Most of the posts here, people are very stoned so you can't take what they say to heart. The stoner's lounge is for people to express whatever idiot high thoughts they are having. Don't make people feel embaressed about that...that is what this forum is here for. I'd hate to think this thread is going to deter people from expressing themselves. That's my 2 cents.

 

A true stoner is one that smokes a lot, and someone that smokes a lot, USUALLY, can control themselves high. That is why most people that are incompetent usually say, "BTW I'M STONED LAWLZZZZzzZZzZzZ". I don't think it should matter if you are stoned or not while posting in the forums. Because when you are stoned it is still you, not a totally different person. You just have increased motivation in the creativity factor and in the thinking department.

 

Good point. I still believe everyone should be able to post whatever they are feeling or thinking in here without harsh criticism. If someone doesn't like what someone has to say, ignore it or kindly post a gentle opinion. Calling people dumb seems wrong to me; especially in a "stoner's lounge" considering this isn't a forum for academia.

 

I think some people use weed as an excuse for their being dumb. That's why you see people who make ridiculous posts on here and finish it off by telling everyone how high they are.

oh so fucking what. im quite intelligent maybe not academiacly, but ive got my head screwed on in other ways. i quite enjoy being a fuckin tit when im stoned. its me relaxin and havin a good laugh. life doesnt have to be serious 24/7. im stoned and i wanna post shit thats either gonna get peoples backs up, have them laughin or whatever. maybe a lot of its nonsence but it makes sense to me!
