Because music and politics must never be mixed...

I think it was a good event but not brilliant. Music wise and environment wise.

Roger Waters stole the show...didn't care much for the rest.

LOL! I was just going to post that Madonna stole the show! She was fucking great! I've never seen her like that before, esp. as Madonna the HOT guitarist. See her "Ray of Light" Video from Live Earth to see what I mean! Skipping around the stage in stilleto heels, wow!

Her new song "Hey You" is an excellent tune with a very "high" message. The accompanying video is good too.

Roger was very good too, although when Gilmore goes out with the Floyd, his shows are better cause his guitar playing is fantastic. But it's always good to hear Roger sing.

    His complete set:
    In the Flesh
    Money
    Us and Them
    Brain Damage
    Eclipse
Another Brick in the Wall (part 2)

Sting's set was a bit of a disappointment, not sure why. Maybe age is finally catching up with him.

Cat Stevens (Yusef) was great to see, esp. singing his old songs!!!

Perhaps the best song of the day was "Gimme Shelter" done by Keith Urban and Alicia Keys. Wow that was a blast! Perhaps even better than the Stones version (better voices).

Imo, all the rappers I glimpsed sucked as usual. Could hardly understand what they were singin anyway. But I suppose they help get the message out to their audiences.

Jack Johnson was good and did a nice long set of about six or seven songs.

Crowded House was good too, but they've been so overexposed lately I'm really tired of their tunes.

I still haven't caught the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Guess they were on late last night.

Now you can view the set lists for each group and view each video separately online!

    Check it out!

If you comment on a particular song, it would be nice if you could link it to the video on the site. Thanks! :)

Note: The live earth site is VERY BUSY today, so if you can't get a good stream, please try back another time. I'm on high speed internet (10mbps), and it can't stream without constant interruption right now... :(
