You forgot to mention that Thompson's been in the the movies and TV. That scores a lot of points for a candidate these days.

Nice job the politicians did on Katrina. People thought they'd be ready for a disaster after 911. Boy were they mistaken. About the only group I could give some credit to was the Coast Guard. The rest bungled just about every aspect. That scene at the convention center looked like Night of the Living Dead.

After Katrina, even Scarborough of MSNBC stopped kissing the Bush administration's rear end. He had some relatives down there and it changed his mind when a disaster hit home for him.
