Ok so whenever I listen to a song, any song, I am instantly transported to a certain place, no matter how many times I listen to it I always go back to that same place- often places I visit regulary- such as a street corner up the road from my house or a certain area of my school. It happens every night when I listen to music lying in bed. Does anyone else get this? Do you think music creates these memories or has some sort of mental correlation with a certain place, or what else do certain songs remind you of.
90% of my favourite songs are my favourite because they remind me of a certain place or time period, first kisses, old friends, great disappointments, school trips...... I guess people who like music connect it to their memories......
Most of the music I listen 2 reminds me of something that has happened to me, an old friend, old relationships,or a place. I love dat every song has its special memory. Everytime I listen to a certain song it reminds me of something special in my life. I guess music is a big part of my life.
