what's the appeal to it? Isn't it going to end up being just an extended episode seeing as how it's only like an hour and change long. What's gonna seperate the movie from any normal episode you watch Sunday night? I'm not the biggest of Simpsons fans anymore so maybe it's just me who doesn't understand. Besides, I think they're like 10 years late or so on the whole movie idea, they missed their prime opportunity.
heehee, i absolutely agree with you; the whole movie scheme is just for more funding of their stupid show. i used to watch the simpsons alot. but now it's just getting like another run-of-the-mill-show.
I'll watch the movie, I still like the Simpsons, not much as I used to though. It would seem like an extended episode, I've never thought it that way however.
I'll watch the movie. However theres going to be a fine line between an amazing movie and making a crappy movie and ruining the tv show
the show is already ruined.. hasn't been a descent season for a while.. now it's all just bullshit celebrity jokes, or homer being a real fool. i love the simpsons, but they should have stopped a long time ago.. this is how seinfeld would have turned out if it kept running.. but yea, i really hope the movie is good. i'm definately not gonna go see it in theaters, but i may download it eventually
I'll be there in 7 hours. I can't wait. It's gonna rule. So have you seen all the random stuff related to the Simpsons on the internet lately? I found this interview with Mr. Burns today and its hilarious. He is such a jerk I love it. I hear something important happens to him. Don't tell me though!!! I thought it was funny in the introo Home said "why would you pay for something you can see on TV for free?" And there are a lot of jokes about illegally downloading movies and turning your cellphones off
well I ain't much on movies in the theater...besides I can go see Saliva and Drowning pool for the same price....the simpsons rule but rock rocks...be it a flop or a success...the flick will be on DVD soon...that's where the money is at today..so I'll see it then..and be able to watch with a smoke and a beer
i loved it! i thought it was pretty funny. i had my set backs though. but seriously go out and see it!
I saw it and I thought it was great. I always liked the show on TV but the movie just kicked the TV show's ass.
Hmmm... this thread has been silent for over a week since someone that has seen the movie posted some positive feedback. The Simpsons have been around longer than most of the folks that contributed to this topic. Ironic? Perhaps not. I finally saw it last night. Loved it. Excellent writing and nothing too over the top like... Bart losing his virginity. It is afterall, a PG-13 flick. They've generally stuck to their classic character stereotypes and gags, however on an epic scale this time. See for yourself. If you are or were ever a fan of the show, the movie is likely to prove why they've stood the test of time. It's certainly not about making even more money as the wealth of the Simpsons merchandising empire has become one of the most successful in history. As far as I'm concerned, this movie is yet another cherry on top of a wonderful treat. — Thank you! Come again.
I thought it was hilarious (specially spider-pig) i was just cracking up throughout... As for PG 13 i saw like 10yr olds in there!!
I went to see it a few days ago with my little brother and sister. I loved the Spiderpig/ Harry Plopper bit. And Barts nude-skate was pretty funny too, I was in hystericals when they showed barts bits.
i haven't watch this movie yet.. but im looking forward to watch it.. don't have the time.. hehe.. busy..busy..busy!!!!....
ive heard pretty negative things about the movie, maybe its a grasp at trying to up the ratings for the show
