There's so many great things around me and sometimes I tend to forget them or they are overcastted by negative things. So this is my thread for the things that I love. So the first thing I'm adding to this thread is strangers who smile at you! I love it. It's so simple and kind, and I find it makes such a difference. I love people who can be kind for the sake of being kind. Too many of us are too busy, rushing around, being cold to each other, smiling is such a simple thing, and for me it makes a difference. I also love strangers who will share stories I always find it fascinating. So thank you to all the strangers that take a moment to say hello, share a story or just a smile, because it always makes a difference in my day, and I try to pass that on to others.
Yeah, completely know what you mean about smiling strangers, unless they're mentalists or pedophiles, in which case it's not quite so nice....
There is a truth in that we should recognize when people are generous and kind enough to acknowledge you with a simple smile and greeting. Today walking about most people I came across where very receptive and generous in that sense, it does fill you up with warmth and makes it easy to reciprocate. Hello everyone. Maybe not here.
I agree, it's great to just be walking down the street and someone you've never seen before smiles at you, in an age where everyone seems so apathetic and disrespectful. I always try to smile at people too.
i agree i love walking down the street or sitting in the park an someone stops to chat or that give you a smile it makes you feel good, i love talking to people i have never met i find their lives also so interesting, and the feeling is so great when someone stops to chat because thye have gone out of their way to talk to you it it an amazing feeling.
That's definitely a wonderful thing. I have to admit though, I'm too shy for it most of the time. The only strangers I smile at are pensioners! (Or attractive females ). They're all very responsive though, give a big smile back and everything. I like when strangers say 'God Bless You' aswell. Not sure why, just gives me a nice feeling I guess.
