Im taking health for one week this summer so I don't have to during the school year and I am absolutley disgusted. On any given topic, around 75% of the information they preach is misleading, incomplete, unexlained or just absolutley not true. When they talk about drugs about 98% of it is such. So far ive read that lsd is very often cut with strychine and can cause death if you take to much and that weed causes lung cancer. I don't feel theyre going to like my essay. :spliff:
just write an essay on how you can't write a truthful essay on the topic because all the material taught was misleading and untrue.
^ haha exactly. I did a report for health when i was in the 10th grade, about how programs like health class education lead to the criminalization of drugs infinitely safer than most things which are legal, and i called them out on how many lies they told, with sources. the teacher tried to dismiss as "unreliable potheads with no credentials" (despite world-leading researchers on the subject, which i also brought up. i totally made him look like a dumbass. he makes me stay after class and lectures me, and calls my mom. my mom tells him not fucking disrupt her at work with petty bullshit like this and hangs up lmfao
thats oretty much what happened to me but in gym. its like 1000 degrees outside and it was the last day of gym nd the teacher makes me and my friend run it anyways and we made a huge joke of it and it took us 19 mins to run the first lap and she wouldn't even let us finish. she called my mom and complained i guess expecting my mom to say "yes, i understand where you are comming from. when i get home from work i will be sure to put her in her place, while hanging her from the ceiling by her thunbs while repeatidly whipping her" and my mom was like wtf this is why you disturb me at work? i know my kids a bitch shes just like me and if you don't like it then go fuck yourself i laughed so hard. my friends mom said the same exact thing
Yea, it would actually be really helpful if you guys put up some beyond doubt reliable resources that I can definetly use. Like right now Im looking through the harvard website and stuff like that.
I was flipping through a friend's college health book. I did not make it through the whole book because on one page it stated marijuana has no medicinal purposes; several pages later it listed the medicinal purposes marijuana is used for.
Well John, I hate certain parts of my job when I have to lie in order for things to run the way my boss demands they do, but I dont have much of a choice. Unless you think you can actually prove a point and still get a passing grade, I guess I would advise you to just do what you have to do and get it out of the way. :&
dude health class is a joke. school period is a joke. i say you should write an essay proving why pot is amazing! who cares about the grade...thats what i did for public speeking last year, i wrote a speech on why cannabis should be legal and although the whole class along with the teacher thought it was a joke...i was completely serious and i got some real information from like harvard studies and government studies and crap saying medical marijuana helps! just...do the right thing and prove the teacher wrong. haha.
If they give me a zero on the essay Ill still get a passing grade, Im pretty sure the whole thing is pass/fail anyway, not a number grade
Just write the damn thing the way they want you to. I mean really, what's the benefit of writing a paper about how great weed is for school if you know the teacher is gonna get pissed. What I'm saying is that a paper for a summer school health class taught buy some tool who hates marijuana is hardly the best tool for sparking social change. So who fucking cares. Fuck, if I were you, I'd probably get blazed and write a paper about the evils of drug use just for shits and giggles. If not here are some places to look. http://norml.org/index.cfm?Group_ID=3471 True, you probably don't want to reference NORML, but it can't hurt to look at the sources that they cite. Also, there is a link to a report published by the National Academy of Sciences Institute of Medicine on the potential medicinal uses of marijuana. Also, several good links can be found here... http://politricked.com/index.php?/archives/69-23-Reasons-to-Smoke-Marijuana.html
