Modest Mouse

In my opinion they're the best band ever!
What do you people think?
I can't wait to go see them in Columbus OH! Any one else going?

 

Definitely NOT the best band ever, not even close.

But yeah, MM is pretty sick. I was pretty dissapointed with "Good News..." and the addition of hundreds of thousands of "float-on kids," but they've redeemed themselves somewhat with "We Were Dead..."

I saw them live a few years back, the show pretty much sucked though, I assume its because Brock was fucking tanked...

 

I love Modest Mouse very much. Probably my favorite band along with The Shins.

I don't like the last two cd's, however. Building Nothing Out of Something and Lonesome Crowded West are their best, I believe.

 

the only song by them i like is dramamine

 

for some reason, I cant really stand this band....... probably because alternative stations have a hard on for modest mouse..... they just dont do anything for me. they are like queens of the stone age. they are just stale. they dont impress me at all.

 

I love them. Building Nothing Out of Something is fucking great. The Moon and Antartica is probably my favorite.

Not much of a fan of their new cd. I'm going to see them in Columbus too.

i love them, theyre one of my favorite bands. i just saw them a month or two ago and it was great, their music has become really jumpy and good drinking music like you can sorta just slosh around if your really trashed or something. i didnt really like good news, and i cant really say i like the new one too much either, its good, but i enjoy pre-major label modest mouse more. my favorites are probably lonesome crowded west and moon and antartica.

 

Thats probably because Brock was tanked when he wrote all their songs haha.

HUGE drinker that guy. He's the only singer I know who has passed out on stage because he was so trashed lol.

 

I like them. Will probably be at the same show in Columbus

I will be interested to see what they are like with Jonny Marr. Last time I saw them was in about 2000

yeah, i don't really like we were dead...at all!the only song of that cd i find that i can listen to is Steam Engenius. good news, i liked. my favorite cd of theirs is probably lonesome crowded west or the fruit that ate itself though.

 

I am a huge fan of Lonsome Crowded West and like pretty much everything else with the exception of Good News, which is OK

 

they're ok. i listen to mm quite often lately.

 

I love Modest Mouse. I think that all they're albums are good and I don't really care how often they get played on the radio. It doesnt really matter who else listens to them, I still think they're good.

 

i love modest mouse.they're not the best band ever but they are a good band.The Moon In Antartica is 1 of m favorites but good news for people who loves bad news wsnt that bad i liked it but it sucks thats what made them known b/c they do have better stuff

 

modest mouse of today sounds extremly phlacid then it did when they first started out. i even liked GNFPWLBN, but their new one is a total mess of pure trash.

Modest Mouse is good band, not the greatest band ever but very solid. I have have been getting into Moros Eros lately and I think they have very similar sounds. Maybe a mixture of modest mouse and flaming lips but really a good band.
