Ok my boy is just about 2 years old, He has ate Christmas Ball Ornaments, I had to call poison control. Fortunately he only ate the outer part and they were new from walmart, and it wasnt my grandma's old ornaments! Also, I hear that this is normal for some kids, but skyler has this nasty habit of digging in his back of his diaper and if hes poopy, he will taste it EVERYTIME!!! ewww! BUT at least when he has his bubble bath, he eats the bubbles! Whats the wierdest or nastiest things your kids have ate?
My oldest once got hold of a small sample bottle of perfume that I kept in my lingerie drawer. I had been in the process of going through the drawer, resorting things, and he was sitting on the bed watching me and playing with some of his toys at the same time. Well somehow he grabbed the little bottle of perfume without me noticing and went into his bedroom with it, flipped the cap off and tried to drink some. He came running back into my bedroom saying "yuck, ick, blech!" all while spitting and wiping his hand over his tongue. I ran over to him, and could smell the perfume on his breath. Called poision control but they reassured me that the worst I might see is him complaining of a belly ache, that due to the taste, he couldn't have drank much. And he hadn't. Upon surveying the bottle, not much was missing, just a little bit. My twins have been known in the past to try and eat sticks and leaves in the backyard at times, but nothing worse than that thankfully.
I had a friend when I was much younger whose brother used to eat her chapstick all the time. It was pretty fucking gross but it's not that weird.
My son ate a glow stick. I was totally freaked out. His whole mouth was glowing bright green. I kept yelling at my husband to call poisen control and he kept yelling back at me, "It's non-toxic." I couldn't believe anything that weird looking could really be non-toxic, but our little man survived it. He too was crying "yuck, bleck, ahhhh." I kept wiping his mouth out and finally got most of the glowing out. That ws over a year ago and he's still living so it must have been okay. Kathi
leane eats so many weird things. I can't seem to keep a stick of deodarant in my purse anymore...same with my makeup....she finds my purse and eats it all. It's gross, I don't know why she does it. I'm so freaked out she's going to eat something thats gunna really hurt her one of these days.
She eats all sorts of nasty stuff. Ate her A&D cream when she was about a year old. Ate some spackle about 6 months ago. Ate a whole tube of chapstick once. She eats dirt, leaves, grass...used to always put random things in her mouth that she'd find on the floor when she was crawling. I had to sweep the floor 2-3 times a day or I'd get so nervous that she'd choke on something! Also drinks bath water. Dirty, soapy, bubbly, doesn't matter, always wants to drink it. And she's big on licking things sometimes...like her window for one, my hand for another. Kids are weird sometimes.
Wow, with all of the things my sisters & I got into as kids I really expected problems with this one - figured it'd be genetic, I guess. But the worst thing I've ever seen my son eat was a glass Christmas ornament when he was about 14 months old. (trust me, that was enough for me!) And my daughter... she chewed on EVERYTHING (I've still got videocassette cases with her "marks" on them) but didn't actually EAT anything terribly weird. love, mom
Axi is still at the taste test stage, anything she gets a hold of...... Skye hasn't eaten anything that weird, but I did teach him which plants he can and can't eat around the yard. He loves the chives!!!!
