    things were moving too fast.

creative thinking and problem solving were catching on like wildfire.

The people became aware of their hearts once again. We had to stop it! The cold war had ended less than a decade ago and already the prisons of our minds had a collective of underground tunnels leading to freedom. It had happened sooner than expected, we were losing power; we needed a new innovative method of control.

Then we found it. Terror, the perfect solution. The faceless, nameless rogue enemy, where everyone is suspect.

Once again, the box has been rebuilt.

    Nice.

I've had similar thoughts myself. We should look to the future now. I think this generation is beyond hope, but if we can survive, maybe we can teach the next one how to escape.
