I have mucinexDM for when I cough alot after smoking too many cigs or blunts. Which rarely happens but to the main point, It contains 30mg of dextromethorphan ontop of the 600mgs of guaifenesin and is bi-layered for extended release.

I was wondering if i could extract the Dxm out of it? or would it be to much of a hassle considering is a extended release and theres so much of the guaifenesin in it?

I don't trust Guifenisen ever. It will make you throw your brains up, haha. I've extracted numerous times and despite the fact that the Guafenisen wasn't supposed to be in the final solution. I hurled violently before the trips started. Might've just been adulterated though.

I don't see why it wouldn't be possible to extract the DXM. Crush them up into powder, stick them in some water to cover the powder and do an acid-base extraction. Not entirely sure if the binders would affect any of this.

Ah =) Thankyou! I didn't think the extended release would affect it either, but I had to be sure.
