I had a margarita that cost $35, I asked why it was so expensive before ordering it. I was shown the tequila they used, it was one that I had never heard of but was told it cost $100 per bottle and had to be imported. It might not have been but I do know it was one good drink
i paid $150 for a bottle of wine once.. Silver Oak Cabernet, very nice stuff. Oh, and a bottle of 85 Dom Perignon... i forget how much that was.
Sam Adams Utopias, which is billed as the strongest beer in the world at 25% ABV. It costs around $100 for a single 24 oz. bottle. I didn't pay for it, though. I simply sampled it at a public beer tasting event at a local upscale restaurant.
:O the most expensive drink i've ever had was a Strawberry Daiquiri that cost $8.99, lol and i thought that was an assault.... once in Greece we ordered a Rum Bacardi bottle that cost $120.00 i have no idea why, here in Panama it costs like $5.95 in the supermarket and $30.00 in a pub.!!!
I just checked out the Sam Adams web site and sadly I cannot get utopias here in New Hampshire, guess I'll have to go out of state to get some
I used to drink Bullet Bourbon which is $9 a can (375mls I think). I drank it because it's maybe 9% alchohol and after 3, I'd go straight to sleep once I hit the sack and woke up feeling fine the next day. If I'd have 4, that would throw me into a massive hangover.
Actually, I was invited. A friend of mine and I were on a sailing trip. She works for a wine dealer. And she wanted to celebrate her divorce. She brought a bottle of hand-turned Italian rosé that was just prior to turning into Spumanti. The bottles were going for 274 Euro. It was as the Germans say, suffig.
My spouse drinks single-malt scotches. They run from $60-120. I like absinthes, from $80-120. Right now, as a consequence of making a 95% on my philosphy exam, I am working my way to the bottom of a Chateauneuf du Pape, 2002,$60. After over a decade of drinking whatever was the cheapest and "did the job" we're drinking what we *like*.
hell yea man, i hate it when i have almost no money and resort to getting garbage to get the job done, getting a nice expensive drink is awesome and well worth it
I recently ordered an ounce of Johnny Walker Blue Label at a bar. It was about $20. I also had an ounce of Grand Marnier Cuvée du Centenaire and it cost me about $15. On New Years I popped open a bottle of Deus that cost me $22. It foamed up and half of it spilled onto the floor. I split the remaining bottle with my family and I probably only had about half a Deus flute's worth (about 100 ml). I got payed to drink a glass of Dom Perignon one time. I forget the year. Damn I wish my job wasn't such a pain in the ass *sarcastic grin* That's about it for me.
a tiny mojito in a club, that cost 30 euros. some guy paid for it tho, i would never have paid for that.. it tasted good =P
