:$ hello growers, huge problem here. grew some hot shit ww. buds were very nice.tried a sample...very good.but then when i cured the buds(let them hang and the put in tupperware container) the potency went away. u smoke some of this awsome looking, smelling weed and the high only last about 15 minutes.what happened? when we tried the sample the high lasted a long time. i am si disappointed. pleasehelp. thanks.
--Hey Davis,,, -How ya doin! -Its me pist. -Im LuMpY now! -Havent seen ya postin in a while. -This is something that MeanG's good with, -Im shure hes gonna pick this one up. -Imma have my pencil out so I can write this down! -Peace>LT>**^^~~
I have a tendecy to test samples from plants. I find the early season buds to have a milder stone than the finished buds, but it is a good way to test the potency for me. If it kicks ass at the gate it's a goodie. Like the humbolt, at day 25, got you a really good high, just not really deep. It crept up for 20 min. and wears off , an hour or so after the creeping effect quits. If you harvested too early this could easily cause this effect.
With all due respect to the Guru Growers............... in my limited experience as a grower ( 5 years, but indulger for 35), I did a side-by-side comparisons curing a harvest using a combination of tupperware containers and glass jars, and found that the bud cured in glass jars to be MUCH more potent and tastier than the bud cured in the tupperware. It may sound weird, but the bud cured in the tupperware was tastless and barely got you high, while the bud cured in jars provided head rushes with nearly every hit. It seemed to me that the tupperware zapped all the thc from the curing bud, but that might just be in my head. My advise, for what it is worth, is get rid of all plastic (especially ziplocks) and stay strickly with glass. My thought is you will see a difference, but would like to hear what the Guru's have to say
I always have and always will use glass. But I thought I was just neurotic from all those Tupperware parties my mother threw when I was a kid! Anyway, Tupperware smells funny! But when opp arises, I give it a true cure- without drying it first.
But of course glass is always best. Id rather use a wood drawer or shoebox than tupperware. until it is ready for the glass. There are these Jars down at save-mart. Like for collecting pennies. Big huge four or five gallon Mason jars. Yes i said five gallon mason jars. They are 20 bucks right now at save mart. (they might be like four gallon but they are huge) im getting one today and i'll be back with a pic of my new mega curing jar. Hows things going geck? The second one over yet. We have no telivision here. We are out in the woods man. Thanks for the gifts. What a surprise that was!
thanks for the replies guys. glass it is from now on.i will try to find some os those big resturaunt pivle jars or someting similar. i winder if i could make some containers out of plexiglass? just a thought thanks again
TD, So you liked the demo game, eh? Did they hold up well? We live in a "high" spot (about 17 feet), so Frances didn't flood us. But they got washed away in some places around here.
The demo is incredibly fun! thanks! Glad you came through alright. I was prayin so i knew you would be O.K.
