Sometimes the next day after I have sex I feel this itchiness and constant urge to pee and when I go its so uncomfortable and is just like a little bit but the feeling of wanting to pee never goes and Im sitting and I dont feel good, I even felt a little dizzy. At first I thought this happened to me when I had very rough sex but then I noticed is not that and Im starting to think that maybe Im allergic to some condoms, because two of the times it has happened it was been with one in specific and has anyone been thru something familiar??? what can i do to feel better??

Do you remember what brands of condoms you used the other times, or the last time it happened?

It could be latex allergies, but if you really think it's the condoms, I'm just gonna say .... watch out for nonoxynol 9 (spermicide). A lot of people have trouble with it.

the nonoxynol-9 used in most spermicides tends to give me nasty yeast infections.

I'd recommend first changing to a condom with no spermicide, just use a regular lube on it (ie astroglide or ky jelly). If that doesn't make it go away, try non-latex condoms. If that doesn't work, see your doctor.

I'm not 100% sure about the itching, that could be due to the latex. I'd get that checked. But as for the pee and the burning and the lack of pee actually coming out...I'm going to guess that you have a bladder infection. Those are really common in some women after sex. I get them all the time. It's not necessarily anything to be worried about if that's really what it is. I had a doc tell me once to go pee right after sex, and it would lessen the chances of getting a UTI. But I'm also not a doc, so I would go get a perfessional opinion.

A bladder infection is a worsening condition of a UTI (urinary TRACT infection) which can actually go all the way up to your kidneys. It is very important for people to hydrate and take care of your kidneys by avoiding UTI's. Like voiding after coitus and keeping hydrated and wiping from front to back. Unfortunately us wymen's were blessed with a urethra too close to the bung-hole.

Latex allergy-- is more common to people who are exposed over long periods of time, contact allergy. Also with folks born with spina bifida. Sensitivities are more common with regards to condoms, more of a "pre-allergy" no cure for it that to not use latex condoms. No magic pill for that.

The spermacides can be very irritating to a lot of folks. I can relate myself!

Another possibility is that you may have a combination of a latex sensitivity, irritated urethra, as it is in that area can can be implicated (that old term "honey-moon bladder?) headache from dehydration, and a lot of times an occult UTI. Fluid engorgement from sexual excitement and "rough-sex" also may contribute to that feeling that you have to pee.

Go to Planned Parenthood that has a Nurse Practitioner on staff, they are really in tune with the female reproductive health and all it's trials and tribulations!

If you get worsening symptoms, fever, foul-smelly discharge, bloody urination, severe pelvic pain... go to the emergency department and get seen.

I have this issue as well. It's not all the time, just occasionally. I end up taking a bladder pill and drinking an ass load of water that day and I'm fine. Unfortunately, it can make having sex feel like a burden because who wants to have an itchy coochie?

Is it true for you, as well? But after I had sex, masturbation feels so much better ... unbelievable. Why is that?

thanks for all the help, is not like im ok... but im feeling a little better. I dont think continuing to have sex helped the situation.. but you know, that's another story.
I decided to go to the doctor, to just dont have any doubts or anything.

Latex allergy can become worse with each exposure. It may well be this.

There are Poly condoms, which do not have Latex in them (I'm too lazy to run upstairs and see what the brand is, but you can ask the pharmacists.)

I work in Health Care and have developed a latex allergy. My chest gets tight, I start to choke, my nose and eyes run. Year ago, when we used Latex condoms, I would get terrible vaginal irritation, so badly that I would swell up for days. Ug.

Get rid of the latex and see if that helps.

All of your symptoms also happen to me, whether I use condoms or not (although I ususally I use condoms of course.)

I've heard lots of ladies get small bladder infections after sex, but I have also heard that what paintitblack there said it true and that you should pee right after sex to clear things up.

And drink LOTS of water and it cleans up the bladder infections alot quicker and gets rid of the horrible uncomfortableness of them fast once you have them. And drink lots of cran juice!

like other members here have already said, going to the loo after sex will help avoid getting infections (urinary track infections are sooooooooo painful) also, washing afterwards will help. I often find it such a bother to go and wash after having sex, but I always have some tissue paper handy so i can dry myself at least.
