Phew, some time at last to sit down and write something. Am on a whirlwind tour of the continent at the moment. Cruising along listening to tunes in the baking sun. The sky is big, I miss hills but will see them soon. Slept on a beach and camped in a forest. GIANT ORANGE SLUGS!! Ended up in Amsterdam by accident. Made sure to get out before we were trapped in the den of depravity for too long. Now chilling out in Hamburg getting ready to visit Berlin again for the first time since the wall came down. Then Prague ahoy! It feels wonderful to be surrounded by people speaking away in a language I'm not able to completely understand. A hubbub of alien culture although I'm the alien. The architecture is so different. I feel myself picking up continental body gestures and attitude just from the power of the environment. Have met some lovely people already. try and get to krakow and budapest if you can i didn't rate vienna or bratislava. cesky krumlov (south of prague) is kinda nice, but very touristy. enjoy

ive heard theres quite a lovely place in scotland actually, its magical and stupendous, would take your breath away! far nicer than the climates you are in just now too.....think its somewhere in the depths of edinburgh, you really should get there before seeing anything else *long sigh* namaste x x x
What a merrygoround of mayhem and wonder!! It's good to be travelling with a friend that respects the random the same as myself. We've been flipping coins and ending up in strange environs and taking advice from locals to be guided through spectacles of people and places. Had a wonderful time in Leipzig. It feels special to be over the wall now the iron curtain is down. (Although I know that was a long time ago now but I lived in its presence in West Germany for some time.} The city is beautiful, got in with some eco-dred-types(dog on a string etc). Free food and a mad punkrock gig in some back street squats. Went to some glorious national park south of Dresden near the Czech border and ran around giggling in the woods for a while. It has huge spires of sandstone jutting out in crazy shapes through the canopy with moss and mushrooms everywhere. There was a ancient walled town in the distant sunset haze sat atop a sheer cliff plateux high above the lanscape. I'm now in Prague staying at some Bohemian hostel. The architecture around here is lovely (although the city smells a bit after being in the wild countryside), there's hardly a wall without some bass-relief filligree. im really jealous!! im des[erate to go to Leipzig at the moment.. ive heard such great things about it.. how did you find berlin? its an ever changing city...am not sure what i think of it..the old east part in prenzlauerberg is pretty cool though...
