A man, a woman, a myth? Or a force--- an opium for the masses? What country or book has at least the best idea of what God should be, or is?
no god; spirits of animals and nature that walk amoungst us that we should respect is how i see it.(im animist)
Just remember that I wrote "your" concept", not the general idea concept. After all--- it is all we have.
i aggree entirely. and i see god/gods/goddessess as a complete unknown. something that may or may not resemble anything any belief or anything else for that matter, ever immagined it to be. but absolutely doesn't have to. something that appearantly wishes us no particular harm. we are, after all, still here. i don't believe in one or more of them having to not exist. but i'm just not convinced of its or their having to be infallable either. something invisible that gives you warm fuzzies. and absolutely NOT anything resembling a human male or female. and if singular, gender becomes totally meaningless, because how can anything be supreme if it's incomplete? and i don't believe we live in a universe that was created by an all powerful spoiled brat who throws a temper tantrum every time someone refuses to kiss its ass either. but i really don't see that as ruling out the possibility of something big, friendly and existing in a mostly if not totally nontangable way. a really big warm fuzzy completely unimmaginable unknown who gives good huggs. =^^= .../\...
Other than the feeling you can have when you focus on your soul through meditation, self realization God-realization, God can not be explained through words.
depends on the god you are talking about. There are many I dont worship but respect, but a few that I worship.
