I tryed aloe, I tryed beads, I've even tryed a wrapping them. The dreads in the back of my head seem to be falling out. The front ones are doing ok. One in particular I have rebackcombed twice because it has completely fallen out. Anything from the top of my ears down seems to fall out. SO! I was thinking of doing this....

I think it looks awsome. And acually, It looks like its easier to take care of.

If you wanna, but if theyre young, they have to fall out before they tighten, well they don't HAVE to..but many do. I still have one that hasnt started knotting up yet, the roots okay but the rest of it is just normal hair. A month ago I had about 10 that were like that.

Do you sleep on your back? That could be why. But the undercut does look kinda groovey

Shaving sucks, I know a girl who has one side shaved off and that side becomes bigger everytime I see her, some dreads are only attached to a few hairs because she accidently hits them while shaving.

the shaved bottom looks kind of cool, but i'd advise just giving it some time. my dreadies are two weeks old and almost the entire back fell out after the first week. they're slowly starting to knot up on their own. i didn't re-backcomb, but wear a wool hat to bed and sometimes use a blanket i crocheted to wool rub to encourage knotting. dreads aren't an overnight thing, and the longer you take on the journey, the more satisfying it'll feel when you've got a head full of knottiness. :)

Your dreads are new aren't they?
Seriously, don't worry too much. They WILL loosen up and fall out before tightening. I got alllll worked up about that in the beginning, until I noticed that the few I was worried about that seemed to keep falling out, eventually started forming. I don't know why it seems that only certain ones seem to do that... I imagine it has to do with how you sleep and what not... but it will work itself out.

Currently I have two dreads on the right side of my head that are extremely loose and limp compared to the rest...

These two, seem to be two of the fattest ones I have... so take a look at the ones that are coming apart... are they larger in size?

Also, how are they sectioned? I did a terrible job at sectioning mine when I first put mine in, so there were some hairs where they shouldn't have been, and that was why they loosened up... I don't know how else to explain that. Or, if it's in an area where the hair is too short, that could also cause an issue with that.

And if that's the case, I'd just wait until your hair grows a little more in those spots and then try dreading them again. I have baby hairs all over my head that cannot be grouped into any other dreads, or made as separate dreads because they are too short, and fine/skinny. So I'm just waiting for those to grow out, and eventually they will dread themselves, too.

I wouldn't shave, because then you're really going to have to keep up with it... if you let it grow out all over again, you're going to have to start all over with those hairs.

Anyway, patience. Either which way, the dreads WILL work themselves out...it just takes time. If you're really worried, try using the lemon juice + sea salt spray, and wash them out... and upon drying, try running some wool through each dread. It is very time consuming, but works nicely. My hair knots up quicker and quicker each time I wash, and spend time running the wool through them.

    Just my opinion. Good luck!

Oh, one more thing...when you tried beads... where exactly on the dread did you place the bead?

I've seriously found that sometimes beads can hinder...new dreads, anyway, if put directly at the root. I'm assuming this is because it doesn't give it much room to move around and knot up. I took all except two beads out (I had like 10 before, I LOVE beads, but they were a problem for me) because it seemed to actually hinder my new dreadies.

he he she looks like a monkey! Yeah I had a small section on the side of my head shaved - reckon it looks good, gives dreads a bit of a different unique look! Hey how come dreads are falling out? I have never heard of that?
