Do you answer the phone when you don't recognize the number?

I don't. I just thought of this because someone just called from a number I did not recognize and I didn't answer. I figure if it is a friend on a payphone or at someone else's house or cell, they can leave a message and I will call right back.

Last night though I got two calls from a number I did not recognize and it ended up being someone I had wanted to talk to in a long time. So I'm considering reevaluating whether or not I should answer numbers I don't know. The last thing I want though is to be stuck talking to someone that I REALLY do not want to talk to.

 

Nope. For some odd reason I actually get a rather uneasy feeling when a mysterious number is calling.

 

I don't have the luxury of caller ID, so I let the voice mail get it usually.

 

I never answer it...well...once in a great while I answer. You wanna talk to me that bad, leave a message.

 

I answer the phone all the time and if It's a person I don't want to talk to I just hang up after they say hello. If they call back I let the voice mail get it and then the next time I talk to them I tell them I was having trouble with my phone. It don't get many phone call from people that I don't want to talk to though.

i dont' answer the phone if i don't know the number...and sometimes, and i know this is bad, but i dont' answer the phone if it is someone i know hahah

Yes, it could be somebody I know, who's phone broke. You never know.

 

I never answer my phone at all. People either need to text me or leave me a voice mail to get a hold of me.

I generally don't talk much on the phone these days, as I've been way too busy for it. And hiiiiiiiiiiiii....betcha don't remember me, do ya? LOL. I've missed you guys....seriously.

 

I always answer it. My phone hardly every rings. When it does I think I get excited.

 

our landline doesnt have caller id so i always ansewr it not knowing whose calling. my cell, i usually answer unless im really not in the mood to talk to people

I do. But I kinda have to because I give my cell number out quite alot. And I signed it in alot of people's yearbooks...pretty much everyone in the school has my number or has a friend that does because I kow so many people at my school.

 

what the hell are you talking about, i have caller id now so i'd know if you did...which you don't.....
although it's be pretty funny if i went and checked my phone right now hmm :tongue:
