Give a one word answer of what you feel you most strive for right now. Not neccasarily now as in today but what your soul most wants in the near future if not in this moment....

    I strive for tranquility.

Haha. :D A sure sign I should try to go back to sleep (soon) since my back pain prevented me from sleeping long.

I was looking all around rt's confused as to where this thread was til it hit me.

    I strive to strive!

    I go in circles.

(I'm not into striving at the moment... my main goal is to get the Maha Mantra out of my head, it has been stuck there for a week and it is playing on repeat. )

    Well...damn. :D

I can't help it though... I haven't thought of that mantra in a long long time, but about a week ago, I just thought about it for the first time in years, and I can't get it out of my head... it's just so beautiful, so simple, so happy, so pure.

The only problem is, I do not believe in Krsna, and the basics of Hinduism contradict most of my personal beliefs. (Such as a one single reality, the whole God thing, etc).

But, of course then, you know that the only
purpose of the mantra is to open the mind to
a higher conciousness state in order to receive
    more love.

There is nothing wrong with it.
Even if the mantra is said in blind ignorance, still
it has an effect that is beneficial :)

Have you read my blog Pavel?
I was wondering what your thoughts on my
thoughts of OM were like :&

Only a bit, I'll read it tonight, I had a very hard day at work and now I just need to be braindead for a while and listen to the Alice Coltrane you made me download :D

I agree about the mantra. First off, it cannot hurt to say it, and well... just because it is a mantra for krsna, it doesn't mean that one cannot use it to connect with something bigger, or just to sing out to life and tell it that everything is allllright.

Nahh, it's not a pain to read... I will truly enjoy reading it, I am sure... but I'm just not in the mindset right now.

I promise that I shalt read it later tonight. I'll add it to my favourites.

Pavel, you made my day bro :)
    Thank you!
I really hope you enjoy reading
it. As with anything, just open
up to my ideas and see if they
    make any sense.
A lot of my friends automatically
dismiss my ideas when they dont
immediatley ring true in their own.

Haha, 99% of the people on this earth dismiss other's ideas when they don't immediatley ring true to their own.

I myself am not a big fan of dismissing anything.
