Brittish english turned into american english the same way french turned into quebecois. A language evolves just like anything else. That was an ignorant comment, sorry, i was somewhat offended. I'm proud of the language i speak and the culture that surrounds it.

why would the english hate the french when the majority of modern english words are derived from french.68% of modern english is derived from the romance languages(latin)and 85% of that is from french ...do the math .even the good old word USE is a french word (old french)
