What you will read here is a summary of what exactly happened to a man named Gopi Krsna, back in the Thirties in India, and is related in its entirety in his book "Kundalini, Evolutionary Energy In Man", by Gopi Krsna. This guy was no instructed yogin, and just as we go to chruch over here as a tradition, he had a little meditation program that he practiced every day, for a few minutes at a time. His practice was to go upstairs in his meditation room, and visualize a glowing lotus flower over his head. He had been doing this daily for thirteen years when the following incident occurred. "One day I was sitting and concentrating on the lotus as usual, when the very "unusual" happened. As I focused on the lotus for some strange reason I gained a very sharp concentrative focus on it, seeing it exceptionally clear and real. When this happened, I felt something stir at the base of my spine, down where my behind sat on the floor. When my attention went to that area, the sensation ceased, as did my focus on the lotus. Now back on the lotus, the clarity of concentration resumed, as did the sensation in my extreme lower back. Again I lost the sensation when my attention went to that area, thinking it so strange to be occurring as it had never happened before. Gaining a resolve to not get distracted this time, his lotus visualization resumed. As the lotus became very lucid in his minds eye, sure enough the sensation at his seat returned, but this time he stayed focused on the lotus. As he did so, a current of "liquid light"(his words, not mine) began entering his brain through his spinal chord, with a roar like that of a water fall. His body began to tremble as he felt his sense of self consciousness begin to shift out of his body, in a state of exhaltation and happiness impossible to describe. He became a "consciousness field" that continued to move out way from his body, while his body awareness diminished and became only a point, while he instead was this vast circle of all pervading consciousness, filling all spatial realty around him, filled with an ectastic pleasure beyond words. In simple terms he moved into and experienced as a conscious experiential state, Sat-Cit-Ananda, the immanance of the "divine Mind", my words, not his. After thirty minutes or so, the energy that had entered his brain began to retract back down his spine, and he eventually moved back into his original state. Now I can whole heartedly assure any of you trippers, doubters, religionists, cognitive modelers, new agers, whatever, that what this guy experienced is real, can be available to any of us, and is the real state of human consciousness, because I too have experienced what is described above and more, and basically move through them daily in a more or less heavenly waking state. All it takes is a daily practice of about an hour an fifteen minutes, after the kundalini has been brought to frutition through your previous yoga practice of about fivre years daily. You don't need acid, weed or anything any more, and I've done enough of all that stuff to kill most of you. Believe what you want of any of this, all you have to lose by believing is your dream of ego self, life and death. Swami Satyananda says when you awaken the Kundalini:"When you succeed in awakening the Kundalini Sakti, you stand on the threshold of eternity.Upon arising from Her slumber, the Kundalini is the vehicle for the expansion of consciousness, enabling the individual to fully develop his enate spiritual potential and rise beyond the mundane realm of life and death, to the level of divinity. Continuing he says, "Kundalini represents the underlying unity of all creation, it is the medium of all existence, and the final fufillment of truth. The Kundalini is the hidden key to the realization of ones divine nature. When the Kundalini is indeed awakened, the yogic aspirant then travels on the path of involution, riding Her divine being as consciousness, until he enters Sahasrara Cakra, thus achieving perfection in Yoga. The Yogin is thus freed from the bonds of life and death, gaining immortality. The wheel of Karma ceases for him, as the ego and its blinding ignorance are long dissolved and replaced with knowledge. For him, the world stops, creation dissolves, and he experiences and lives in the Ananda of pure consciousness, Samadhi". Don't dare think this is a bunch of hodge podge, I live these words. You can too fellow hippies. Peace, Love, and Flowers.
I just received Yogi Bhairava's book Kundalini Dream Much thanks to you Yogi, I cant wait to begin reading. I am very new to this, to be honest I had never even heard of Kundalini until very recently ~ But I am very happy that I have
The minds power is really amazing and interesting. Meditation is really an amazing mental exercise, though... why is this posted in psychedlics? I feel like a lot of people that might be interested might not see it here.
Because A lot of people who are using psychedelic drugs are touching God but are confused as to what to make of everything
^ well I agree with that, sure. But there are a lot of psychedlic drug users that don't give a shit unfortunately.
But its ok my friend! Its how it is meant to be. ME and you read this, right? And we know whats up to an extent, right? So, its prefect that Yogi posted it here, when he posted it and the fact that we read it means that he hit home with at least us 2
For me what works best is to unfocus instead of concentrating. Unfocusing unlocks the ego and the mind from everything and you flow, like a river, into your True Self
Floydianslip6, yes you are right. Its in a strange place by accident. But the truth is the psychedelic users are the only ones searching for consciousness. Consciousness is God, the Kundalini in descent takes us from that consciousness as ourselves, and in ascent takes us back to the consciousness of God. You can't get around the Kundalini Devi. Namaste. YB. ps. read the summary on the back at the website, www.kundalinidream.org
Make it three It is a wise and correct although frustrating point that the words uttered by saints and enlightened beings fall on deaf ears 99% of the time, but they say what they believe for that 1%, and it's more than worth it!
It is similar to the parable about the seed. No matter how many seeds are thrown on the rocks, not one plant will grow there. The soil has to be prepared to recieve the seed. Peace, Love, Om.
The thing about this thread, is that its basis underscores most of the realities in this overall forum, be they any religion or philosophic viewing. Every single person who reads these forums has a consciousness, a sense of being alive with a sense of self. What exactly is the basis for this animative state we call self or consciousness? Why does this self consciousness want pleasure out of living? The average person as they experience themselves from second to second basically experiences themselves as an empty being. Say you're standing on a street corner, and you are waiting to catch a bus to work. Its early in the morning, you haven't eaten, and have had no coffee. So your standing there thinking, "Man, I'm hungry, I wish I could gat a Latte. Where is that bus anyway?" You flash on your girlfriend you left at the apartment asleep. Here comes the bus, with a bunch of noise and exhaust. You get on, still hungry, still sleepy. This little scenario and millions like it happen everyday. Some people leave to go to work and school and get killed in a car crash that day. They would have never thought that would be the day they would never come home again. So what have we here, questions of lIfe. We move through finite existence unfulfilled daily basically. Even if we have money and pleasures, they are fleeting. The Church says, come to us, Jesus will bless you with a bunch of material stuff, maybe even a spouse, then you get to go to heaven. Most of these folks are miserable and in just as much desire as anyone without a God. But they tell you to not dare believe or seek out any other spiritual discilplines, the devil will get you. The simple fact is that this thing called the kundalini, is the basis for all I've detailed above. The Kundalini Devi is the mechanism by which God creates our finite sense of self, relegating down to a desire filled empty being, craving life and fulfillment, but finding none. In reverse mode, this same Kundalini when awakened through a Yoga Sadhana will deliver the practitioner back to the throne of subjective heaven, what is called Samadhi. Only Kundalini awakening can remove the unfulfilled desire pangs that plague the embodied human. And the clincher is this, this Kundalini knowledge came here as a result of the hippie psychedelic movement. Indian philosophy would never have taken root here if it weren't for the Leary's and Owsley acid, that allowed western man to get a glimpse of the immanent absolute, the immanent absolute realm of the Sahasrara Cakra, the original home of the Kundalini. If you really want to discover and experience what it is literally like to live in an objective and subjective heaven, to stand in possession of the most secret wisdom of existence, to walk in what I have called" walking in the Garden of the MInd of God", then you seek out the Mother Kundalini. You will never regret it. Yogin Bhairava Atmabhoda Sarasvati www.kundalinidream.org
No, that's exactly the problem. People don't experience themselves moment to moment, they dwell on the future or the past. If they would live moment to moment, they'd realize that they live in perfection all the time. And make that 4. ;D
Compared to living in the consciousness awareness of sat-cit-ananda, the all pervasive experience of ones self as the divine self of the universe, Samadhi, living as a finite being is hell. This is Maya. But to be convinced of this, "it must be experienced". The "now" is not necessarily any form of complete advanced consciousness experience, it is just a higher awareness of the present, which is still an ego flux in time.
There are many ways my friend. Not just KUNDALINI. I have been into yoga and meditation and that's where i felt something first time. And then beautiful person out from nowhere appeared in my life and gave me lsd to try. They say one hit of lsd is something like 5 years of meditation. And probably it is. Only on it I realized what it means to be conected with whole universe how God, energy whatever you call it flows through everyone of us and through everything. Only on lsd I realized how everything is so connected and how one thing triggers and depends from the another. And there is no you. It works through you with or without you realizing it. It made me realize what is the power of toughts and intention. What exactly is telephaty and how it works. What are the different senses that your body gives you and you can't put them in the common five senses. I still love yoga and meditation but only lsd led me to completly understand what you are talking about. It made me realize that everything in life is pleasure you just couldn't open your eyes properly and see beyond. And exactly, what if you tommorow die if the bus hits you. Live your life and enjoy every moment. Give love to everyone. And death is just another transition as the energy can't be destroyed ever. You may have so many names for this and that and you might thing that Kundalini is the thing, but as I told you there are many, many ways for me it was lsd. That was my path and I'm not saying that should be the path for everyone. It is so simple and beautiful. " God works on misterious ways " So please don't tell me that none of us here touched what you are talking about. I mostly don't need psychedelic stuff in my life and I don't take it just to be with myself but I have seen how it helped so many people including me and its so beautiful to share it. Maybe you have come to the point where you can put yourself just by meditation into that state. Then well done, but I can't do it to that intesity without 300 ug of lsd. There are users of drugs and abusers of drugs and the difference is very big. If you have done plenty of that stuff and it didn't make you realize anything then I'm sorry to say it but you then belong to the abusers group. So ther are many, many ways. You live your life according to Kundalini it's a beautiful way also. As long as you are enjoying your life every moment is the right way and share that beauty of every moment whenever you can. Don't get me wrong with this post everything i say and do comes from love. I just don't belive there is one religion, one philosophy or one thing who can have it all in it. Actually don't believe there is anyone who knows everything and how big is the ocean. So how then you or anyone else can define what is that "all". If you know what I mean
Dude, you are talking to someone who has taken alot of large dosages of old school sixites LSD. I met God a long time ago on acid, and lived the acid culture of the sixties in the Haight where it all started. I've died and experienced ego loss on acid enough times to have mastered crossing over into the void of the absolute. And not just in the sixties either, I did alot of blotter in the nineties too. LSD opens up your pranic system so as to reveal the spiritual constitution that acts to serve as your consciousness, so on it you get an authentic glimpse of your real spiritual nature, but that is all, a glmpse. The Kundalini my friend, is not just some thing you can access if you wish, or leave alone if you wish, like the myriad of meditation and new age systems out there. Instead, the Kundalini Devi is the Divine Mother, the female aspect of God, whose purpose is to manifest the finite experience of the minds of the evolving humans. Her dormant flux is manifesting your experience of self right now. Her arousal will permanantly deliver you to the subjective experience of God that is a total and permanant consciousness shift out of living yourself as a finite being. LSD does this only temporarily, LSD is a key to the door, after that, it takes the Kundalini. Read about the man Gopi Krsna experincing the Kundalini move into his brain as a living river of liquid light. Really read the thread closely. If you still think that the Kundalini is just another path, well........
To continue on in this genre, I have stressed many times to many people, both in my personal life, a well as on this forum, that the purpose of using LSD should be nothing short of the sole purpose of experiencing God, or the immanent divine, the divine self within. And many of us back in the Haight Ashbury and areas around there did just that, back in 65, 66, and 67. So I am on the same page with you as far as the fantastic divine properties of LSD. And I will add this too, few meditation or average yoga systems will give the individual the spiritual releasing effects of an acid trip, if the dose is enough, and this is critical, dose, set and setting(Thats right, I'm a Learyite at Heart) So for you to say that the LSd you did blew your meditation stuff out of the water is not surprising. But LSD will not blow a Tantra system out like that. But with all of this said, the acid will only go so far for so long. If you really want to experience a permanant change of consciousness, that has been heralded throughout antiquity in India called Samadhi, you must awaken the Kundalini Devi and get Her into Sahasrara Cakra. This takes years of a perfected Yoga Tantra Sadhana. Ever heard of Ram Dass? Get the book "Remember, Be Here Now" and see what Tim Leary's #1 buddy had to say about the difference between where LSD took him, and Yoga Tantra. God Bless, Peace, LOve, and Flowers, Namaste, Yogin Bhairava Atmabhoda Sarasvati
I don't know all those names you are throwing around, but all of that you are talking about, I expirienced on acid and implemented it in normal life. Call it whatever you want, but life is life and if you truly find yourself, you found yourself. I found out that I was doing certain things almost whole my life and I had my version of explanation of those things when a friend of mine went in to yoga and all those things and tried to explain to me do this or that, telling me the name how it is called. 99% of what she told me, I was already doing that for ages, and all of that I learned through acid. I think that plenty of people who are using acid think that all of that is just tripping and do not implement those things in life, and that is all. There is very small amount of users of drug and plenty of abusers, including you. If you only learned that what you are saying through yoga, than sorry, you didn't use acid well, only small percentage of its possibilities. But, try now, when you know all of that you explained, to USE acid, and you will see that it will give you opportunity to learn more. Don't take it with perception that you had before, take it with perception that you can do all those things without drug, and let it supprise you. It will give you more things witch you will be able to do without drugs. Do you get my point?
