When performing the Naphtha / Alcohol extraction on Hawaiian Baby Woodrose seeds is it still necessary to scrape of the white fuzzy outer coating off of the seeds? I've done this when taking the seeds orally or sublingually but am contemplating a mass extraction of @200 seeds and really don't want to have to scrape all the little buggers.

Does anyone know if the dangerous material in this coating will dissolve in the solvent?

    Thanks

I think he meant the lighter fluid. I've been doing more reading and it does seem that naptha is a poor choice. I am just stumped as to what is the most efficient method for preserving the psychoactive alkaloids whilst preventing nausea / vomiting. I don't mind personally but for what caring and sharing is worth i want to make an easygoing and experience as possible.

    Seed Ingestion = Nausea

Sublingual = limited nausea but still puking

Ground seeds in gel caps - haven't tried

Naptha / Ethanol = failed attempts or health risk

Water Extraction = gross tasting and nausea

If anyone has in depth extraction or ingestion methods that remove nausea please share. I'm looking for something tested multiple times with the same results and preferably tested on multiple subjects.

Maintaining the psychoactive element of the experience is of course paramount.

i use water most of the time.
ground seeds to basically powder (scrap as much of the coating off as possible because it causes severe nausea. ive done it without removing any of the coating and sometimes its fine and sometimes it isnt. nail file's work. ive heard you can burn the coating off ((though never tried it)) you dont have to get it off of everyone, but if you spend an hour or two scrapping each seed while watching a movie or tv or something you'll be very happy)

let it soak for a few days, shaking it as often as you remember. strain the liquid using a few coffee filters

there is going to be a clear liquid floating on the top of the solution. spoon it out. it is harmful nausea inducing chemicals

you can drink the solution as it now, mix it with something, its gonna be vile tasting but theres a veyr large chance you wont vomit, at least doing this ive never vomited

i am using colman white gas right now, naphta will work fine just make sure you check it first....take a pie pan fill it up half way let it sit in a clean area for a week and once it's all evaporated see if there is any residue...if there is don't use that brand.

oh another thing you could do....if useing the cold water extraction after you filter it, let it set the syphon off the top oils and stuff cause that is the bad chemicals.

I doubt it is deadly. The exception is if it is soaked with a particularly nasty pesticide or poison and sufficient qtys are ingested. I don't know of any research that has specifically looked at the coating as compared to the whole seed, it may contain cyanogenic glycosides.
