ok im in the middle of getting the stuff for my grow room only problem is its in a shed no windows only a door and dont wanna leave it open or drill holes in the roof i am getting a ozonator so that should take care of the oxygen problem and im gonna have a 240 fan on the plants when the light is on im gonna use a 400watt hps light will this be ok? or will the room get to hot for the plants?
damn, cozy setup, just make sure the room doesnt exceed 100F, shouldnt be a problem unless its summer
That sheds gonna get hot with that lights in there, so I think that you're gonna need an exhaust of some type. Depends on the strain you're growing, but usually you don't wanna go over 85 degrees for temp. If you added CO2 then the plants would be able to take higher temps easily, but I don't think CO2 is worth it for such a small setup, a fan is way cheaper. I think a good carbon scrubber would be cheaper than ozone also. Either way good luck. Peace, LUNE
IMHO! If one doesn't want to do things properly, one shouldn't do it at all!>) MJ like all living things needs fresh air to survive, try this, put a cardboard box over your head, be sure there's no ventilation, and see how long you survive in that environment =>O "gasp" From the Orang's point of view; humans are so funny, they think they can change the nature of nature :>D
This is nearly excatly what i'm about to do. Just about to order my seeds (White Widow) and then i'm going to grow them in my shed ( mine has quite a few windows.) so oxygen/temp shouldnt be too much of a problem. And for light i have 2 solar powered fluencent lights I found in my cupboard That sound alright?
Hold on one of us is confused ?>/ Are you going to grow with natural or man made lights? Let's go back to basics, each plant needs X amount of lumins at each stage of growth. What you have said will get you through maybe the first month of 2 of growth.>) At that point you must make a decision, do I want to take the chance that there's enough sunlight left in this growing season to rip the boards off your shed and turn it into a green house, or am i going to close up all my windows (so that the dark time is really dark),paint all surfaces white, and buy a light or 2 that give off enough light in the proper spectrum's (like the sun) to grow 3 or 4 crops every year:>) I don't know if the Solar powered flourecent lights will work but unless they're upperds of 25watts or more don't think they'll do much.>( growing indoors is a huge investment in time and money. but it's not as expensive as buying at the dispensary, nor as much time as searching the streets for the next connection:>)
