I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read these articles. A 26 year old Texan woman with seven kids (That’s right folks, SEVEN children) and a 40 year old husband put a stillborn fetus in her refrigerator. Absolutely disgusting.

The authorities were alerted when the mother called a funeral home to get a casket for the fetus. When the cops came, they found a mess in the house, all set with insects, rodents, and a huge amount of trash everywhere. Oh and let’s not forget the four foot high stack of dirty diapers in the closet.

The children were malnourished, dehydrated, and ridden with lice...having only eaten a hot dog between the seven of them for breakfast because they weren’t allowed to open the refrigerator because of the fetus that lay inside of a diaper wipe container.

Oh, but it gets better. Back in 1999, the children were taken away from the parents once – granted they only had two children at the time – but given back after the parents took a few classes on child rearing. Apparently they didn’t learn their lesson and chances are they won’t yet again because the judge is going to work to get the children BACK into the home! Are you bloody serious?!?! Is the safety of children really being considered here???

Children don’t seem to be a priority for the state of Texas either because I’ve also learned that the county that this happened in also has the highest rate of sexual abuse in the nation. Now I’m wondering how many children have been returned to homes where they had possibly been sexually abused.

This is absolutely outrageous! How is it that children can be so lowly in this nation that when their parents fail them, they can’t even be protected by the government??? Oh and let’s not forget the fact that corporal punishment is still being used in Texas schools (Over 75,000 children hit from 1999-2000).

Seriously, I wouldn’t give a fuck if Texas fell off the face of the earth...in fact, it would probably make our nation a little better. But to think that our government is letting this all happen makes me even more disgusted.

Not clear on your story, but having been raised in the country, ma and pa and the kids should have dug a hole and buried the poor little foal. Not called for a casket.

Yeah that's one part of the story that did not makes sense....putting it in the fridge and then calling a funeral home for a casket....they obviously had little to no money and caskets (even infant ones) are very expensive, the other alternative to a casket that an undertaker can offer is either the pine version or the cheapest - a creamation box, which is cardboard.....both of which im sure they could have obtained for free from either their home or a local dumpster. They obviously had plans to dispose of the body themselves, so why would they bother?

On another note, we used to have a rooster who passed away in the middle of winter (frozen ground and a foot of snow) - my mom wrapped him up in a garbage bag and placed him in the ice box in the garage until the spring thaw can and he could be buried hehe....I miss poor Rasta! He was a good rooster!

Yeah that's how I felt about Chicken Little(a brown banty hen) but she lived to be nine years old, so when her time came I just dug a hole and said a few words between her and me. Ground doesn't freeze that hard around here.

A closet full of diapers is something that should have triggered friends and family to find help Somethig more was going on in this household,

Hope the kids have finally found some help from the system or friends and neighbors.
