Introductory Note: Michael Ruppert gave a groundbreaking speech at the "Commonwealth Club" in San Francisco on Tuesday, August 31. The speech is long, but a must read for anyone interested in the future of the United States, peak oil, 9/11, the 2004 election, and related topics. There are very few journalists digging up credible new information about 9/11, but this speech -- a teaser for Ruppert's upcoming book -- is full of critical information that should be on the front page of every newspaper on the planet. It would be difficult to exaggerate the importance of this information. - Mark Robinowitz oilempire.us http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/archive/scoop/stories/fa/47/200409020014.b4593f5f.html
I really enjoyed reading this. I will definately be getting the book now. Our history for the last century or so is very disturbing and our dependence on oil is very scary. I really am starting to get your point on how we really dont have a choice anymore. All this democrat and republican bull-shit is just a way to keep us focused on the tube and ignorant while the corporations take in as much money as possible. But there really is no way to stand up to them. They control the army. Best thing to do is move to a true democracy- atleast thats what I'm doing. I dont think the U.S. would ever attack some small island nation in the South Pacific . Would they? back to the subject. Are all of his points accurate? Are there any journalists that have refuted his claims with hard evidence?
Nothing that Ruppert presents in his speeches has been refuted as he himself mentions near the beginning of his speech. People must understand that Michael C. Ruppert is not a conspiracy theorist, he is an investigative reporter. He says only what he has solid proof to back through declassified documents, news publications, inside testimonial and other methods. The guy is well-known and well-respected in uncovering the government's dirty secrets, and he has given speeches at universities all across the globe, as well as published several books and documentary videos, as well as maintains his website in which over 15,000 are subscribed to, including members of Congress. www.fromthewilderness.com
Since it seems like nobody is willing to muster up the energy to read this, here is an audio interview with Ruppert from Steppin' Out of Babylon with Sue Supriano (recorded 8/31/04), which airs on Pacifica Radio. http://www.luver.org/suesupriano/mp3s/MikeRuppert.mp3 The interview is about 28 minutes long. Ruppert discusses some of what will be covered in his upcoming book, as well as drops many of the bombshells contained within the book, such as the events of the morning of 9/11 and Dick Cheney's involvement in them. LISTEN TO THIS!!! I want to hear some feedback on what you people think!
I've been working my way through it over the course of this evening - busy preparing for a trip up North, so it has made for some fascinating between 'chores' reading. When is this book going to be released? Why is it not garnering the same media attention as Farenheit 9/11? Obviously, it has much more direct and harsh criticisms of the current administration, well all global elitist truly, so I'm sure there isn't a media outlet out there willing to touch it with a ten foot pole. I had made a thread called civilians vs. soldiers essentially dumbing things down so that those who simply cannot fathom such reckless and agressive action by the global elite, might see how this logic (if you could call it that) has been and continues to be ulitized in the public arena to sway opinions towards war for the purpose of profit. I just hope someone of influence can drum up support for this. There simply could never be too much information made available to the public, we all need to know of these atrocities.
It will be available on Ruppert's website (www.fromthewilderness.com) in a week or two. By mid-October it will be distributed to all the major bookstores throughout the country, as well as on the web (Amazon, etc.). Books generally do not garner as much attention as movies, even ones as revealing as this (not that I can think of many that are this revealing). And even F9/11 didn't receive that much attention by the mainstream media until a few weeks before the movie was released, after the distributor was named. Even books like Richard Clarke's Against All Enemies and Bob Woodward's Plan of Attack - though much less revealing than this upcoming release by Ruppert - did not receive a ton of attention until a couple weeks before they hit the shelves. We'll have to wait and see what happens. Well, I think knowledge is the best tool. And the best thing you can do is try and spread the word all that you can. The more people that catch on to what is really happening, the more we can hope to see some resolve and let the truth be known to everyone. I think it's only a matter of time. People are already starting to wake up left and right.
the problem is most of the folks that sway to the right will not take the time to read "Crossing the Rubicon" let alone Ruppert's speech. ( http://www.scoop.co.nz/mason/archive/scoop/stories/fa/47/200409020014.b4593f5f.html ) Most conservatives are satisfied with the biased information they recieve and will not accept or even consider liberal viewpoints. And the same thing goes for liberals. so why then would either group want to find out that the conflict they are so passionate about is just a big show or farse? Actually I take that back. I think most liberals are open to the obvious and would be interested in finding out more about the corruption and utter disregard for human life behind both parties and try to do something to stop it. I know I am.
I was only able to breeze through some parts of this tonight, but I'm looking to giving it my full attention tomorrow - in of ALL places, on an AIR PLANE ! Thanks for posting this today instead of tomorrow Matt, maybe I'll freak out at the airport and decide not to get on the plane . This brings up a good point though. Let's all hope these truths due come out in the public arena and are proven as such in a court of law. Imagine the hit that the airline industry will take from it! I hate flying, honestly I avoid it all costs. I have always hated flying, predating 9/11 with my college roomate dying in the WTC, predating acquiring knowledge such as this; I think it began around the time of PanAm flight 93. If this actrocity becomes universally accepted as truth, I would have to imagine a rather large percentage of casual travelers will refuse to fly ever again. So, instead they hop in their Hummer and drive for their holidays, burning up considerably more fuel than they already do and effectively accelerating the world's path to the End of Oil. I know that my next vehicle will be a diesel of some sort with a biodiesel conversion kit - this is in part to help out the environment, but it is also my small effort towards not supporting Big Oil in any way that I possibly can.
well after like a bajillion years of reading im finally done that article, and in all honesty i've never felt such a feeling of urgency. i want to gfo out right now and buy a thousand dollars worth of gas at it's current price, and bury it in the back yard for later retrieval. i also want to cover my roof in solar panels and attach two wind powered generators at either end of the roof. also, i knew that hydrogen stuff was a scam! they painted it too petty of a picture for it to be real. i recomend everyone read this article.
This is not a right/left issue. This is not some bullshit, politically motivated book, published to get Kerry into office - not even close. I wouldn't read it if it was. This book sticks to the facts, which have nothing to do with political parties or agendas. Books that have a right or left bias are GARBAGE and have no redeeming value whatsoever, other than to dumb you down and make you a complicit sheep, blind to everything around you. All this liberal/conservative, left/right stuff is nothing more than a label. We don't live in a black and white world my friends, so don't limit yourselves to only two choices. Not all conservatives are Republicans or neocons. Traditional conservatives favor small government and cherish civil rights, and they don't believe in pre-emptive imperial wars, contrary to what people know conservatism to be today - thanks to people like Bush and Co. There are many conservatives who hate Bush with a passion, almost more so than some liberals. Sure, some of them might be bible-thumping, gun-loving, homophobic, anti-abortion rednecks, but they DO oppose everything that George Bush and the neocons are doing, which is shredding the Constitution and slowly destroying this country. If you take away traditional conservatives' religious fanaticism, their racism, their homophobia, their overall lack of wits, and their occasional inbreeding; they are not that bad, and certainly not very threatening to the world, unlike the neocons. Unfortunately, there are very few traditional conservatives left serving in office - they've either been long-retired, or converted by the neocons. And it's not like all conservatives fit the descriptions above anyway. They are simply stereotypes. This is my point! But, with the neocons, even if you take away their religious fanaticism, their racism, their homophobia, their overall lack of wits, and their occasional inbreeding; they are still corporate, war-hungry, power-hungry, imperialist pigs with not the slightest regard for humanity, here or abroad. In order for us to begin to see change in this country, we must learn to see beyond this phony, right/left paradigm. I have said this a million times, but it's surely worth repeating.
That was an interesting read. His speech was very well organized and thorough. I also found that it was entirely objective; I didn't see any bias to either party. The problem is, I bet that many conservatives will still immediately pass this off as leftist propaganda. You are correct, and I have met many people around my area who feel this way, yet are still going to vote for him. Why? Either because of their Christian beliefs, or it's because they are against abortion, or gun control, etc. This is a just another example of how the two-party system is a part of divide-and-conquer mechanism.
That's a great read. Thank you for posting the link, Rat. So, my opinions on it? I think the speech was very well done, and I expect the book (which I plan on reading) to be equally impressive and enlightening. The information brought to light by Ruppert is astounding and should never be kept from the public in the way that is has been. It makes me sick to my stomach to even attempt to fathom how these neo-cons could possibly execute such acts and still sleep at night. It is utterly disgusting that the damned, conservative, FCC-controlled media has not reported on any of these issues. I was also pleased that, unlike Moore's "documentary," Crossing The Rubicon is in no way biased to the left. It is amazing the fools in this country who think that John Forbes Kerry is the god who will save the U.S. and, according to them, "get us out of Iraq." For example, the other day, a friend of mine proudly flaunted his new "Kerry/Edwards" bumper sticker to me. I responded that a vote for Kerry or Bush is a vote for the downfall of the United States. He proceeded to declare me an "idiot" and to "thank God that I can't vote." It's disgusting. I also hope that some of the open minded people out there who have always put full blame on Bush will see that Cheney was indeed the leader or the attacks. From day one I wondered why Cheney had been rushed to "protection" and was virtually unseen for weeks while Bush was at the attack sites giving speeches. It just didn't make sense. Now, however, the facts seem to be right out in the open. With all the good that *could* come from the publication, I have a feeling that much won't. I would be surprised if many bookstores even allowed it on their shelves. I think it is highly unlikely that, after the book's release, the masses will even be aware of it, let alone read and study it. It is sad, but in my opinion, a likely reality. Thanks again, Rat.
"IN ADDITION, A CLOSE READING OF KEY NEWS STORIES PUBLISHED IN THE SPRING OF 2004 REVEALED FOR THE FIRST TIME THAT SOME OF THESE DRILLS WERE "LIVE-FLY" EXERCISES WHERE ACTUAL AIRCRAFT, LIKELY FLOWN BY REMOTE CONTROL - WERE SIMULATING THE BEHAVIOR OF HIJACKED AIRLINERS IN REAL LIFE. ALL OF THIS AS THE REAL ATTACKS BEGAN. THE FACT THAT THESE EXERCISES HAD NEVER BEEN SYSTEMATICALLY AND THOROUGHLY EXPLORED IN THE MAINSTREAM PRESS, OR PUBLICLY BY CONGRESS, OR AT LEAST PUBLICLY IN ANY DETAIL BY THE SO-CALLED INDEPENDENT 9/11 COMMISSION MADE ME THINK THAT THEY MIGHT BE THE HOLY GRAIL OF 9/11. THAT'S EXACTLY WHAT THEY TURNED OUT TO BE."
All I can say is that I'm glad to have this guy on our side, He gives people that question the government to the highest degree a good name, being he is so well spoken and educated. Peace and Love, Dan
