Which is more intense: Salvia or DMT?

Which hallucinogen do you think produces more intense effects: Salvia or DMT? I've personally haven't smoked DMT but I have smoked Salvia and was a bit disappointed. All I got from Salvia was a strange tactile "hallucination" but no visuals whatsoever. In fact......if I remember quickly I lost some ability to imagine (hallucinogens usually do the opposite). Nothing to hear. Music wasn't altered or enhanced. Maybe I didn't do something right, I dunno. Either way the effects were also unpleasant. But there are many who say Salvia is intense and produced Open-eye visuals. WTF?

I'm pretty sure I won't be disappointed with DMT when I get some of my own to smoke......will I? I haven't heard many who didn't say that it grabs you by the boo boo.

 

well ive never done dmt but i should probably vote for #3 because they are probably just as intense in different ways as long as the dose is big enough. I havent had any actual "hallucinations" from salvia even though ive completely broken through. When there, i don't tend to think of what i am seeing, its more a what i am feeling. Because in the back of my mind i already know where i am and what there is to see nothing out of the usual, so i could be completely blown and still look straight ahead and have a clear vision. It is just like weed or alchohol in that sense i think.
But when broken through you can just sense that salvia feeling, and everything feels a bit fake like a strange cartoon, and then if the dose is big enough you just forget where the fuck you are and then the only conciousness that you are aware of is deep inside youre own mind like a tiny thought of wtf you just completely confused about everything and i remember asking myself wtf is goin on how did that happen.
Lol sorry for writing alot. But when you're all the way on the other side, there is this thing that is so damn indescribable it drives me crazy its like youre awareness is just holding on to your body for its dear life. Yeah i give up i cant ever explain it

I have to say salvia is more intense. Not necessarily on the peak, because ego loss has one point, but on the come-up/down. The main reason I say this is because I had a bad, bad trip on salvia.

 

Intensity doesn't seem mean bad trip.........if used properly; intense psychedelics can produce the most intense euphoria.....even more than that of MDMA. But equally intense Euphoria can of course have its own equally intense hellish qualities when on a bad trip.

 

It's all about dosage when it comes to intensity. Don't confuse intensity with reality altering/shattering.

 

I've never done DMT, but I would think that they are both as intense as a drug can be, really. You have no idea where you are/total ego death. I don't think one could really be more intense than the other, because reality is totally gone either way. I'm sure eating a sheet of acid is just as intense, too.

Very true, but my bad trip on salvia brought out much stronger emotion than any time I've done DMT.

 

This poll makes no sence to me at all they are bolth two diffrent types of Drugs ! They shouold not even be listed under the same class Psychedelics/Hallucinogens ? DMT is usally so much more enjoyable and is more like a psychedelic drug then Salvia buy far. Salvia to me should be in the drug class dissociatives becasue the high and effects feel much more like and resemble a PCP-AKA angel Dust high more then it does any psychedelic out there. DMT I can atleast do like LSD or shrooms and know tha 99.9 % of the time if I am in a good frame of mind and every thing is going all right in my life and I am in the right setting that I am going to have a good trip and its going to be fun. Salvia on the other hand is like a dam coin toss every time you do it you have no idea what the feeling is going to be like ounce it hits you ? It has nothing to do with your mind set,the setting you are in,or your feelings at all, A bad one can just happen with saliva for no reason what so ever.Most of the times for me salvia sucks and is a horrible high that I hated and did not enjoy what so ever, I have not smoked the shit in afew years now and could ever care less if I do again to tell you the truth the high just does not appeal to me at all and is just down right nasty. and it has no value what so ever. I have never ounce smoked Saliva and had fun on it NEVER ? DMT on the other hand the times I was able to get it which are few and far is a blast to trip on and real fun. DMT I know what I am getting into every time I smoke it Saliva on the other hand I have no fucking idea like I said its a coin toss. The bottom line to is yeah you hallucinate on salvia buts is nothing like the classic Hallucinogen and is nothing like DMT,LSD,Mescaline or Shrooms at all.The highs or trips are 2 totaly different feelings you can't even compare the two, Its like comparing LSD to PCP you just can't they are two totaly different drugs. Its the Same thing with DMT and Saliva !!!!!!

you don't gotta be sarcastic. it would take a fucking idiot to not know that DMT is the strongest psychedelic out there. after reading numerous posts about how intense it is, and NEVER have i heard someone who has tried both say that Salvia is stronger. people may like to think all they want that salvia is stronger, but there only trying to convince themselves this because they know that it's near impossible to get DMT.

 

Anyone can get DMT. The root you can extract it from is readily available for order online. Moreover, there is someone in this very thread who says salvia produced more intense emotions than he ever experienced on DMT. Read some salvia trip reports... becoming a conveyor belt is pretty fucking intense. It really doesn't get any more intense than salvia. I'm not trying to be a jerk, I just don't understand why you would so confidently say something that is very much up for debate when you haven't even tried either of them.

 

I've done salvia and experienced only some crazy closed eye visuals and a strange euphoric feeling. Not much more intense than a very strong pot high for me. From all I've read on DMT, it's like peaking on acid within a few seconds.

I say DMT is much more intense, but that's just my opinion.

 

You definitely haven't experienced even 1/100th of salvia's potential. A full on salvia trip (although I have not experienced this myself - only somewhere in between what you felt and the full on trip) is like becoming a one dimensional object for what seems like days. Check out some of the trip reports on erowid... it's really, really crazy stuff. A lot of people get little or no effect from salvia because they either buy the leaves (you really have to go with the extract to feel the full effects) and because you have to hold the flame over the bowl the entire time you smoke and then hold in the smoke for at least 15-20 seconds.

I've only done it once, and basically, everything became two dimensional and I felt like reality was a door that was closing on my face... I felt no more connected to my own body than I did the couch I was sitting on. It was extremely intense and quite unpleasant. For the first minute or so of the trip, I had no idea that I had just smoked salvia. My friend tripped way harder than I did. He felt like he was in a washing machine and that his entire body was twisting, but that he was losing the right half of his body as it twisted. He kept twisting on the couch because he thought that if he didn't twist with his body, he was going to lose his right shoulder forever.

Even these experiences are nothing compared to what I've heard/read about. I have read about people becoming a conveyor belt for what seemed like days. Very crazy shit.

 

alrite i won't argue it anymore, cause i agree with the points you've made. i guess the fact that salvia is legal kinda gives me the reason to believe it wouldn't be as powerful. also, i would like you to note, that altho you can buy the DMT-containing plant online, very few people know this. yes, everyone on this site may, but out of my group of friends only about 1 or 2 people know that, and the others that know of the sites, think they are just scamming people.

 

That is true, very few people know of the availability of DMT. Unfortunately, our government's drug policies are so messed up (salvia and alcohol are legal and weed is not? wtf?) that you can't assume anything from that. I didn't mean to be an ass back there, it's just that a lot of people think salvia is no big deal and end up getting their faces blown off, and I would hate to see someone fall into that trap.

I would have to say I find salvia a lot more intense. I have only done dmt twice and salvia like 30 times. When you trip really hard, like use a gravity bong with a huge bowl for the salvia hit the trip is completley out of this world i cant even begin to describe it. I dont do it anymore though I cant handle it.

 

DMT, and it's not even close.
