    That was inspirational; thanks :)

Hey... do you eat only raw foods? I've cut down to a roughly 60-70% raw diet over the past few months, but the one "yah-but" is tea. I LOVE tea. Fruit teas, herbal teas, black tea - it's all good. But... doesn't the boiling water negate the raw "thing?"

I love herbal tea and I boil all of mine...and I think wildcrafted/organic herb tea can be very medicinal.

Many nutrients in food are very heat volatile...

Vitamin C, the amino acid trytophan(which is needed to produce seratonin), a lot of other amino acids, pretty much every oil or fatty food becomes carcinogenic when it's exposed to heat and oxidized, and a lot of minerals, enzymes and co-enzymes are all destroyed or corrupted when their exposed to heat.

But the polysachharides and alkaloids and other medicinal compounds in herbs aren't really heat sensitive and extracts, or teas made with them can be super healthy in my opinion...as long as their organic or wildcrafted without additives =)
