Better that engines and furnaces cleanse the air of "surplus" or "pollution" oxygen excesses from plants, than that human-unfriendly forest fires do it. I like seeing machines, airplanes, cars, doing work for man. What "global warming?" It's but a figment of liar Al Gore's imagination, and a major component of the globalist agenda to promote global poverty and greater dependence upon corrupt government and greedy corporations.
Anyone remember the ozone hole of the 80s? http://www.sepp.org/key%20issues/ozone/advinozon.html If the hole still exists why aren't these greenhouse gases escaping through it? Perhaps we should have permitted it's expansion? I still wonder who exactly is profitting from the hype and hysteria.
It doesn't quite work like that. Ozone is a molecule formed of three oxygen atoms. It forms naturally in the atmosphere. One of the neat characteristics of it is that it helps block certain harmful forms of radiation from our sun. The hole in the ozone layer could possibly contribute to an increase in skin or other types of cancer, but ozone, being a gas, doesn't hold other gasses in. Actually, some amount of gas does escape off into space. To do this, it must overcome gravity. Obviously, this doesn't happen too often, and that's why there's an atmosphere. It also might be why mars has no atmosphere at this point (or very little) and it may have at some point in the past...mars has much lower gravity than earth. But yeah, for what it's worth...I think the hole in the ozone layer was much ado about nothing. Remember the rash of bad sci fi stories and movies and such about aliens whose planets were wiped out by a hole in their ozone, or dark alternate futures of a post-apocalyptic earth without an ozone layer? Sheesh.
