ok well i wanna know what are their most trippiest songs. i think that tomarrow never knows is probably their best trippy song. i think it relates to LSD more than anything but im sure they denied it. anyways do yall think are their trippiest songs
I Am The Walrus Strawberry Fields Forever Lucy in The Sky With Diamonds... can't think of any more...
Have you ever heard the album "Beatles Rarities" it has on it: Across The Universe Yes It Is This Boy The Inner Light I'll Get You Thank You Girl Komm, Gib Mir Deine Hand You Know My Name Sie Liebt Dich Rain She's A Woman Matchbox I Call Your Name Bad Boy Slow Down I'm Down Long Tall Sally I've listened to a bunch of these and they are totally insane. All but three are after '62 and before '66 but interestingly enough none are found on the 1962-1966 album. EDIT: Woah. I went on eBay and they don't have the record I have. I'll get a picture of it once my battery charges. I forgot to mention that on the back it says "Sampler Album not for sale"
What's The New Mary Jane? The version found on The Beatles Anthology #3 is pretty funny(I love how all the songs are different takes or acoustic or different than the album version). I've never heard the original version but it has some trippy noise in the background.
Okay, I recharged my battery and here's the pictures of this goofy ass vynil. Front of Vinyl: Back of Vynil: "Sampler album not for sale" Oh and I advise not having an incrediably amazing trip on morning glory and listening to Magical Mystery Tour. Fuckin' whack! I swear to god I thought the eggman was out to kill me.
anyway, the beatles' trippiest songs: - rain (1966) - i'm only sleeping (1966) - love you to (1966) - she said she said (1966) - tomorrow never knows (1966) - i am the walrus (1967) - strawberry fields forever (1967) - lucy in the sky with diamonds (1967) - being for the benefit of mr.kite! (1967) - within you without you (1967) - a day in the life (1967) - only a northern song (1967) - revolution #9 (1968) - the inner light (1968) - across the universe (1969) alternate versions - tomorrow never knows (take 1) (this one can be found on anthology 2) - strawberry fields forever (take 7) (anthology 2 as well)
You guys should listen to Tomorrow Never Knows as covered by Phil Manzanera and Brian Eno in 801 Live. Now, that's trippy. There's also a cover of It's All Too Much by Gong guitarrist Steve Hillage that will blow your brains out. You can find it in his album L. I think these two are the trippiest Beatles songs, even if they're not played by the Beatles.
3.Whats the new mary Jane? (both versoins) 2.You know my name (look up the number) 1.Wild Honey Pie... Do you know what i really want .....the full 30 min of helter skelter...
trippiest song by the fab four: by year: 1965- Norwegian Wood(this bird has flown) 1966- Tomorrow Never Knows 1967- a tie between Strawberry Fields Forever and Blue Jay Way 1968- Whats the New Mary Jane 1969- Dig a Pony... not exactly trippy, but the lyrics are awesome.
Tomarrow Never Knows Glass Onion Across The Universe. Lucy in the Sky w/diamonds is not as trippy as people say.
