I have an accent but it's really wierd cause it's not just one accent...it's like three put together. I talk like an english person but I roll my r's like a spanish person and sometime there's a hint of southern... Anybody else like this?
People around here ask me where I'm from all the time. I guess I don't have the Southern drawl they expect. I just pronounce words correctly is all, lol.
People from Arkansaw! It's not just the accent, it's just a whole other language, I swear... you go to the country, and some methhead starts rambling, and you have no idea what he's saying so you just nod nod nod. Anyhow, my accent is a mix of 4 languages... I'm like so superior to you in every way other that some ways, but some ways are just not important in the grand scheme of things, especially when you have nachos.
I still think Mrs. Olsen from those old Folger's coffee commercials had the phoniest accent. What kind of accent was that anyway? .
I haven't been to Arkansas but I hear a lot of that when I happen to watch the Country Music Television network. .
Does anyone know what Bush's accent is? People from Texas say they've been around to many parts of Texas and it sounds nothing like anything there. .
my accent and the way people talk around here is so hick. we say yins instead of "you guys" for god sakes.
I have a funny accent, it's a mix of Finnish and British with a hint of American. I don't like it but other people seem to find it endearing.
South Africans DO sound strange, whoever said that. Its really grating. I used to work with a South African who said "biscuit" as "buscut" and it was so annoying I dont know what kind of accent i have. Britishy-Frenchy, i guess. I only roll "r"s in the French way when speaking French though, and only sound British when speaking English...hmm...
