A new poll shows Bush at the lowest point ever in his presidency on several criteria. He's now showing only 25% approval with a huge 71% disapproving the way he is doing his job. He's nearly beat nearly every other stinking president. I think Nixon is the last one at like 23% before he resigned...

Looks like we can count on FURTHER defections from his core group of supporters - you know the ppl who still think the world is flat, that Saddam and Bin Laden were good drinking buddies, and that we're still going to find WMD in Iraq!

Yup those people are the same ones who always say Bush's popularity won't drop any further...

I read an article some where that made an interesting point, that this is where Bush actually wants to be. It is obvious he does not care about what anyone else thinks. Now he does not have to worry about reelection or having to keep supporters happy. Since most people think he is doing a bad job he can just do whatever he wants at this point without having to dance around like he is trying to do something good, especially since most of the people in Congress don't have the balls to impeach him.

You probably think elections are juvenile too...

The point of the poll is this: When Bush drops below Nixon, he'll HAVE to be impeached or resign. That's how it goes. Or in 2008 we kick everyone out of Congress.

Yes, because Bush and Congress are one and the same in that they are all taking orders from the same few people at the top. We are dealing with a puppet government, and this is why Congress has an even lower approval rating than Bush. Congress is Bush's best friend, or so it would seem. They have catered to his every whim and rolled over for him countless times. If they were going to impeach Bush, they would have done so long ago. Plastic Nancy Pelosi made it clear when Democrats took control over the House that she would not seek impeachment for Bush. Not that it would have made much of a difference if he was impeached, because presidents (or any politician for that matter) really have no say in anything anyway. If Bush decided he was going to have a say in anything, only THEN would he be impeached or done away with altogether (like Kennedy). They are keeping Bush in power obviously because they WANT him in power, because he makes for a good puppet who will follow orders, who can take the fall once the shit really starts hitting the fan.

The only presidents who get impeached are the ones who don't play along and be good puppets to their puppetmasters. Bush does not fit this category as it appears the man is incapable of even thinking for himself. This is EXACTLY the type of person they want in office, and that's why he was put into this position in the first place.

Truman's the lowest with 22, however it was Bush who beat Truman's highest approval rating of 87, with 92, it is only fitting he beats Truman's lowest approval rating record. I forsee 18% before he's done.
