so yesterday, 930 am i deposited $420 CASH into my wachovia account. keep in mind, i handed this money to a teller, a human being...today, there is no record of my having made a deposit. no one at customer service knows anything about it!!!! i have my receipt, thank goodness, but this really messes me up! grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My bf made a cash deposit last week (at wachovia) and when he looked at his account online yesteday there was no record of the transaction....luckily he is a receipt keeper and after an hour of nonsense they figured it out....but it's a good thing that both you and him caught it!
There was a new bill passed by congress, that allows banks to withhold funds for a period of time, no matter what the amount Glad you kept that receipt. That's the only hope you have.
I'd switch banks. If we all did that maybe congress would listen to us. I bank with Premier West, and I've never had that sort of problem, but I can see it coming in the future.
I've banked at Wachovia since before they were called Wachovia. Never had a problem. Great customer service. Doesn't mean they aren't scumbags though...
