Has anyone here tried a speedball, but with less hard drugs, like ritalin and vicadin? if so how was it?
well...lets see speed ball = cocaine, and heroin = potential death vicodin = opiod = heroin cousin (slows down heart rate, metabolism, etc.) adderall = legal form of amphetamine = CNS stimulant thus... adderall, and vicodin is also VERY dangerous, and a bad idea. Never tried it, but I imagine its not something that is worth trying either, hehe
Adderall and Vicodin is NOT a speedball! I have been on Adderall for about 10 years. Whenever I need pain medication, the doc gives it too me no problem. I am a pharmacy tech, there is NO drug interaction here! I think the reason a "speedball" is so dangerous is because typically the users increase the amount of the amphetamine greatly, because the heroin masks the symptoms, ie chest pain from pounding heart, etc. Then they increase the heroin again, because the amphetamine counteracts the usual respiratory depression, etc. I have had two uncles die from a speedball w/ crack & heroin. Their bodies had become so weak from all of the drugs, a strong wind probably could have killed them. You would have to take a whole lot of Vicodin to get analgesic effects similar to heroin, and the analgesic ceiling of Vicodin may make it impossible altogether. Adderall & Ritalin are FAR from crack or cocaine. I am not recommending this or any combination to you, but I can tell you with confidence that there is no medically established contraindication with taking these two types of medication.
photogra1--> I know it isnt a speedball, but I would think since vicodin is a cousin to heroin, and adderall is a CNS stimulant similar to blow, effects of combining the two would be similar to a speed ball. If I am wrong here, can you elaborate on what you said abit, as I would like to understand.
I think you are right...it would be similar to a speedball, albeit a very mild one. I definately would not want to have a strong one, though, for obvious reasons. I do not abuse my Adderall or pain meds, maybe that is part of the difference. I think you would have to take a very excessive dose of either agent to start covering the effects of one with the other. Crack & heroin are very dangerous, hardcore drugs, which can kill on their own. Combining the two, especially in a drug ravaged body, adds more stress to the body. At some point, which would be different for everyone, the stress is too much for the body to handle and the individual will have a stroke or heart attack and die. A side note, neurologist often prescribe pemoline or dextroamphetamine with pain meds to increase the effectiveness and/or make them work quicker. Same idea as having caffiene in Excedrin. Does this help any?
One of my children has to take a theraputic dose (30 mgs a day, divided dose) of Adderall. This child has Tourette's Syndrome, and sometimes the child gets terrible muscle spasms from the TS. She has been given codiene for the pain. From a pediatrician. They told me actual muscle relaxants could interact with the Adderall (or the other Tourette's Meds the child takes) but that opiates are very safe and not a problem. The child takes these pain meds VERY infrequently, maybe once a year, but even the ped (who is a bit of an opiaphobe) doesn't have a problem with the interaction. This child has also been prescribed codeine and hydrocodone cough medicine with no problems. As Photo said, the problem with Speedballs is that people take more of BOTH drugs to get, I don't know, more effect. The speed usually isn't enough to stop the often unnoticed respiratory depression the H causes. I also know some chronic pain patients who are prescribed Adderall to help fight the fatigue from being on strong opiates. I would guess in theraputic doses, this wouldn't be a problem, but the key word here is theraputic. Which is often WAY below what people use recreationally.
It's OK, if you have some common sense it would be pretty safe. I know people who run on crystal and J. Walker (=strong stim+strong depressant) the whole day and doesn't measure shit. I know someone who did it for years. It would be a nice sandbox speedball haha.
I used to take ritalin and codein together all the time... probably not a very good thing to be doing to myself... :\ Called it the suburban speedball :H swallow 200mg of codein extracted from A.S.A. then rail about 30-40mg of ritalin...

I just tried one today. Ritalin with vicodin. I must say i wasnt especially impressed. It was the first time ive tried ritalin. I was enjoying it and then i became very hot and sweaty. It just felt like vicodin with more energy as far as I could tell. I doubt i will try it again.
