Bud a fruit or vegtable?

It is neither. At least not in the sense that, say a tomato is a fruit and broccoli is a vegetable. Weed is a weed. Extremely hardy, grows almost anywhere. I guess it's technically a vegetable, but by that broader standard, so is my front lawn.
