I LOVE this movie. Anyone who has not seen it must go, right now, and get a copy!... you are still reading this... GO NOW! For those of you who have already seen it, what's the best scene in your opinion? I love: "Where's your hand?" "It's between two pillows..." "...THOSE ARN'T PILLOWS!!!"
I love that movie. I love the scene where he's at the car rental place and his car isn't there. He goes back to the counter and tells off the lady at the desk with the most curses I've ever heard steve martin utter. And then.... "Do you have your rental agreement" "I threw it away!" "Well...You're fucked" It's funny to me because I take car reservations for Budget rent-a-car in a call centre all day.
that movie is really old..and not too funny, oh well. you look familiar, im assuming your on the left of ur sig pic.
this movie was great, but the best part is when they driving the wrong way down the interstate. the people are trying to tell them there driving the wrong way. i dont know what john candies worst movie is?
that movie is one of the best! i love when steve martin says something like "and people will ask me, 'how can you stand it?' and i'll say 'because i've been with dale griffin.' and they'll say 'i know exactly what you mean!' it's also funny when they hitch a ride with the hick and the hick says (of his wife) "her first baby come out SIDEWAYS. she didn't make a sound."
ehh I like it but I could definently see how lotsa people don't it's one of them comedies with that real slow feel to it not enough jokes packed in for most, I would assume
I will always have a special affection for this movie. It was one those movies like The Great Outdoors and The Goonies, that I grew up watching and will always have fond memories of. I still watch it from time to time. It is actually a great comedy with great performances and interplay between John Candy and Steve Martin. Some classic scenes like the ones mentioned and also where they have a close call going between two big trucks in the car and have the fright of their life. lol
its a classic... John Candy in a devil suit when he drives in between the two trucks is priceless... It is grown up comedy... not for all you that go for the slapstick Adam Sandler or Napoleon Dynamite... Hilarious movie.
