This is something I discovered tripping balls on shrooms with my friend.

All small building blocks in the universe work together to form something complex and beautiful.

Common cells work together to form tissues which form the organs in the infinitely complex human body. Millions of semiconductors work together to power outrageously fast computers. Elements can be fused to create complex substances and powerful alloys. Smaller, less significant building blocks combine to create something greater than themselves.

What I'm getting at here is that logically, a supreme being isn't in our past, but in our future.

This crossed my mind when I was posting shit about evolution, complexity and consciousness before. Your statements actually makes more sense than saying we came from god because you're at least keeping with the natural order of the universe in that more complex structures evolve from lesser complex structures and this is leaps and bounds beyond the grasp of creationists. However, the flaw in your theory is to assume there is no boundaries limits and dead ends in nature that would prevent the production of a god like being and I believe there are serious limitations to natural order and properties of energy.

i WOULD rather spend eternity playing with leggo blox, then in the presence of anything, however much it might actually love me, or i it.

i'm rather fond of serial mortality too.

do we WANT to create a god if there isn't one and we don't have to?

my scepticism is about how well intended anything that would want to be worshipped can be expected to be, not in whether or not there exists or can exist nontangable awairnessess, great and small, who love us and wish us well.

and in its/their pertinence to our everyday lives.

exploring caves and forest pathways, are how i would love to spend eternity.

    that and creating things myself.

i think if there is a deity who wants our love, it is the deity is our true selves that we cover with bullshit. the other-ness is just a tool to get us to that point of understanding and loving ourselves... because no matter how egotistical and selfish most people are, do they really love themselves? so we say "love god, god is perfect", but really it's "love yourself, you are perfect". it's like jesus said, and i can't quote because i'm not a bible fanatic, but i know he said something like this... if you can't believe in yourself, believe in me. if you can't love yourself, love me. do it for my sake. it's the most loving thing you can do, to ask someone to love you, because experiencing love is the reason we're alive.

oh, and, if there is a deity with which we can have a personal relationship, it's not that we'd just worship them and get nothing back. if you think about it, every single aspect of our lives is the act of being worshipped by deity in the largest sense. so all we're really doing when we worship a deity is joining in on the constant worship of our true selves that goes on despite what we believe about it, or what we're conscious of. and you can do it in any form you want, the religious figures are just options and they've worked for a lot of people. there's no reason you can't find the same thing through caves and leggos :D
