Not too long ago, I stopped smoking pot for a month. (after years of everyday use) A few days in, I started to dream again. Not that I didn't before, but I'd had no recolection of any dreams for years. Now, I mean, I dreamt vivd, all night dreams that I fully remembered. I gave in and started smoking again and just like that my dreams were gone again. While I wasn't smoking, dreams were every night all night, which would also make me feel tired all day, because often times when you dream vividly, you feel like you slept for 10 seconds. I want my dreams, but I also want my pot? What to do? Anyone else share this experience?
i always have vivid, all-night dreams when i sleep. and i smoke a lot of herb. it's no problem. though, i have to say, i've been told by many people and experienced it myself, that herb will interfere with any natural 'intuition' you may have and sublime, don't smoke pot, wait until you're at least 16. let your brain develop a bit more
Right on. What do you do then? I'm starting to think that some of my manic behavior might be from not having lucid dreams. I'm not sure what to do, because pot is also necessary in my life to keep me calm.
aint dreams a form of astral communication therefore pot is dreaming the only differance is your eyes are open whilst smoking pot ............just a thought man .
Well, im under the impression that you dream every night, and just cant remember them... and seening how pot shortens your memory, less chance of remembering the dreams?
i know EXACTLY what you mean... i went through the same thinggg!.. i quit smoking pot after like.. 5 years of doing so.. almost every day... it was really hard for me to remember my dreams... i said to my friend... i dont dream... and she told me.. everybody dreams... every night... you just dont remember.. and i was like.. no, seriously, i dont think i dreamt last night... then... yeah i stopped smokng pot, and not long after, i started to dream again... or remember them anyway..
I tend to get the opposite, but I guess it could be affecting your memory. If you can't remember dreams, try setting an alarm to go off once or twice in the middle of sleep. You usually won't dream when you first go to bed, but if you go back to sleep after being asleep a few hours, you go straight into dreaming and for me it helps the remembering and seems to even make them more complex, but that may just be better memory. I used to do that when I was obsessed with dreams a while back.
the same for me , i was smoking during along period and jsut could not remember any of my dreams , since i smoking occasionaly , i always remember my dreams
The reason you do not remember your dreams when you smoke before bed is because THC increases deep slow-wave sleep, and inversely greatly reducing your REM sleep. REM is the period of sleep where your vivid dreams come from. So in short, marijuana increases your deep restful sleep, while reducing the time you spend in REM. Keep in mind, this is usually only the case with people who smoke marijuana daily.
