    Anyone else like Gillian Welch?
I think she's great - I especially like 'Hell among the Yearlings' and 'Time - The Revelator'.
I think she's the best thing to come out of Nashville for years.
Her songs are deep and poetic, and her voice is perfect for that kind of stuff.
Definitely one of the best artists I've come across in recent times.

She's from California originally, but records in Nashville.

I love "Revelator" too. I have a version of her and Ryan Adams performing it.

she's great , it's from her duets with allison krauss that i've first got acquianted with bluegrass music , but i still like her solo songs better . time , the revelator and paper wings are great and she has a special fairy tale like voice ( especially in paper wings )

I like Paper Wings too - I think it has a bit of a Patsy Kline feel to it.

One song where Gill's voice really gets me is Dear Someone.:)
