Get your salvia smoking in, DEA has gone nuts again. After the recent research done on salvia as an antidepressant looks like DEA will be scheduling salvia :(

Seriously don't "get your smoking in" all the damn bad press is from kids gettin their smoke on and video taping all the dumb shit they do. Its terrible, salvia is an amazing mind expanding drug.

If you have a plant I suggest splitting it ( do your research first ) and spreading you strain to other responsible growers. I am working on a hydroponic set up, grows fast, grows healthy. I just don't want to see this beautiful plant die out. Not a quick high, but a deep journey...experience it and love it if you haven't already before its out of shops for good :(

This will take some time. DEA is doing a study, depending on the result of that study they may or may not recommend scheduling the drug, then there is a vote, then legislation is enacted. All of this takes time.
If they follow their own rules then they have to vote No because salvia doesn't meet their published requirements for scheduling. but they might cave in to political pressure and ignore their own rules, or they might first change the rules which will cause further delay.
Salvia will eventually be illegal but it won't happen overnight, we probably have a couple years. If you like Salvia stock up on it before it's banned.

Read up on emergency scheduling and take a look at the news, looks like far sooner than later. Years is wishful thinking

The DEA just does whatever the hell they want to do, they only follow political proticall when under scrutiny from lawmakers/mass public.

eh, load up on the plant, keep it cool. It should last. We should hop to the chem-forum and start getting ideas for either synthetic or easily extracted salvinorin. Then we'd have some staying power as a mind expanding substance. Don't ask why i'm speaking on behalf of a chemical...

    Chill out guys...

Its only a "Drug of Concern" right now...

And I doubt it will be made illegal, mainly because of the difficulty to grow the plant as it does not contain seeds.

Thus making it very hard to actually deal the drug unless it is made in a lab...

And I read somewhere (I'll find it) that the companies that extract salvia right now, are already monitered by the Gov because of the lab work required.

Another problem facing them, is that it isnt easy to identify, it has no distinct scent, the plant itself could just be your typical mint plant, and once its dried and what not, its incredible easy to hide.

All of this, plus the inability to really test for it (the amount of salvinorin-a in a trip is so low, I doubt you could find it in piss or anything), the SHORT trip time, 15 minutes at the most...

Its just stupid, lets think about how many kids have died robo-tripping (3 in 2 months in my town of about 30k), or doing morning glory or something...

Were all just getting paranoid and worried about it because CNN (The devils news network) had a little thing about it...

As far as I see it, its not going to be made illegal...

But do I plan on stocking up...

    Heh, ya...

many people grow their own plants. there are no seeds, you just buy another plant and follow basic directions to clone it and create the right greenhouse conditions for growing it. and anybody with basic chemistry background can make extract from leafs. when salvia becomes illegal nobody will be able to sell it commercially, that's all. I doubt it will ever be a popular street drug like pot, and people discreetly using will probably be left alone if they don't call attention to themselves. But with no place to legally buy Salvia and not much of a black market demand it's use will surely go down.

I am completely with you! I hate how kids just don't respect it and make videos and make it look bad! Here in Canada, Salvia is still in debate, but will most likely be illegal in the future. Probably a few years after Salvia is illegal in the USA (which is most likely next year). I would really like to grow some, but it's hard I've heard! Good luck people!

Ohio has introduced a bill to add it to the State's Schedule I list. I've written them 5 letters.
