Do you just drop off resumes/applications, or do you ask to see the manager and give them to them personally? How many have you given out, all told?
make sure to get a friend to read over your resume and make sure is ok dont go with other peopel to drop off resumes dress nice for dropping them off, clean clothes etc. best with black dress pants and a classy shirt ie button up dont do your hair super crazy be nice, smile, be cordial. ask for the manager or supervisor if theyre free at the moment. say something like "hi there i was hoping to drop off a resume in case you might be hiring soon?" read the newspapers classifieds section (often online now too), drop your resume off at places that are hiring. and at places that arent but that youd like to work at. make sure your references arent family members or only friends, get a teacher or volunteer coordinator or something on there too volunteer until you get a job, or do both, at least then youll have something like work experience minus the pay
I can't ever remember it being hard to get a job. Are you in Newfoundland or the Maritimes or something?
toronto. it should be freakin easy to get a job.. but there are also millions of other people applying too.. so i got competition..
wait, 2-3 times a month? fuck, id paper a whole block up and down, or a whole mall with my resume. anywhere that wouldnt completely suck to work at got a resume
