So I came home yesterday and found a large bag of mushrooms on the kitchen counter, Later questioning my mums friend about them she said they were a present for my mum but she didnt want them so i could have them instead. later on her boyfriend gave me some more for our mate (they were his) so now we have quite a fat bag, we think there's a least 10 grams but were weighing them when we get home. Well that was very fortunate for us and it's a lovely sunny day so were going out to take some shrooms
Wheeee! Wait a tick, you mom and her friends consume magic mushrooms??? I've seen it all now lol! Happy tripping, enjoy the gift!
whats so wierd about peoples parents using mushrooms? they're still people the generation or two before most of this forums users tripped far more most likely than we. in general, anyway
i doubt that, most people in the generations before ours likely bought into the propaganda and probably didnt have such easy access to it.
uhhhh...the 60s dude? do you know how much stronger the acid was back then? usually todays hits are 50-100mcg but back then it was closer to 300, and above. and they did way harder psychedelics that arent even around anymore (it-290 anyone?) sorry, just you cant make a generalization like that, people have done drugs for ages. its not any new thing. but that is awesome getting all of those mushrooms for free. talk about hitting the jackpot.
I agree the 60s rocked acid wise, and that the DOM/STP dosages they took were way extreme. however, I'd have to say we do better now and in the past decade or 2 shroom-wise. Largly thanks to terrance and dennis mckenna(or however the hell you spell) and the new ease of growing shrooms. i've read that back in the 60s that in the states all the magic mushrooms you could get were just mushrooms from the grocery store dipped in acid.
what i meant by ours was the last few generations to the baby boomers. before that, though, drugs were pretty unknown
"what i meant by ours was the last few generations to the baby boomers. before that, though, drugs were pretty unknown" Uh...no they weren't. Haven't you heard of prohibition in the 20s? After all, alcohol is still a drug, even if you may not consider it one. People have used drugs since forever. Opium and marijuana were used in Asia as early as 3000 BC. Alcohol is really the only drug used before the times your talking about, but people back then did also use weed.
ok ok, my last few comments have been overgeneralized. i kow drugs have been used for thousands of years, by many different cultures all over the world. basically i'm trying to describe the time period from 1940sish and previous (as far as american history) yes there was alcohol, but not much weed smoking or psychedelic use
