Do you really think it's a good idea to be drinking when you have mono?

I was thinking along those lines but at my current stage I'm reluctant to chastise because there's likely plenty I've done that many would be more than happy to aggressively offer their disapproval.

It's not even about chastising. Mono swells the internal organs, including the liver. Drinking further swells the liver even more, which can cause permanent damage and can literally poison the person if they drink too much because of changes in the liver enzymes. Not only should a person not drink when they have mono, they should also wait for at least two months after the illness is gone to resume drinking.

So it's not about lecturing or chastising. It's about alerting her to something serious.

But it SHOULD be common sense not to drink when you have mono.

You can't force someone to take care of themselves.

But obviously if someone is not taking care of themselves they don't love themselves.

Some people have never known love so they don't know what it is.

They just need to learn to love something more than they love themselves. Anything. Doesn't matter.

thanks everyone, Matt.. I didn't know it was dangerous to drink in my case, honestly I knew about the organs swelling but I didn't know bout the drinking and it making that swelling worse.. probably why I had complications then. I have been in bed for 3 days now, and I def. won't drink again or at least not like that for a while..

 

Even with mono and some swollen organs, you're gorgeous.
