Hi back from a little break but with a question.

Only recently I heard about this group Protest Warrior and although there is a small dutch branch,of Idiots I might add, If I compare thier texts to the American ones you clearly see a difference of them just being racist and nationalistic without any educated background (think misquotes and blatant lies). I never encountered them at my protests. Seeing how this is mostly an American group I was wondering if any of you ever encountered them and if yes are they anoying, smart, bring good points to the discusion, bad points, etc ,etc.

Or if they are like, this 18 year old guy ont hier website, just anoying brats that just repeat what some other guy on a website says instead of thinking himself (Which I doubt since most seem quite informed.). Just repeating the same thing over and over, although the oposition wasn't to smart either, I mean threathening him with violence will only suit his cause in becoming a martyr and going BOOOHOO on the Internet saying how he can't excecute his right of free speech. Violence and threathening with Violence is never the answer and will only hurt your cause hehe .

Checked out the site, funny that they should quote Thomas Paine, one of the most liberal and leftist patriots of the Revolutionary War. (And one of my personal heroes.)

It is , but hehe they seem to be getting more popular lately (also in my country) and when I meet them on a protest I sure want to be able to handle them in a way that I won't be the next "Leftist violent dictator" hehe, since they started in the USA maybe you ppl met them before and handled them before .

 

Have not met them yet, but I would say to react calmly, do not back down and do not dignify outlandish claims with response. Be prepared to back up your own claims. And most of all, monitor their website to be prepared for there latest tactics.
