Hey, im looking for a good, interesting book. An emotional book. One that can make you cry one minute but make you smile the next, you know? One that you can get really deep into. Any thoughts?

wow .. that's a big shopping list there. my mind is drawing a blank though. *hmmms*
hopefully someone else might have a suggestion of a book for you. i know plenty of good, interesting books, but can't think of one with mood disorders ;) lol

for deep and interesting and even somewhat emotional i recently read Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden and found that to be quite interesting, emotional, had bits that made me cry and bits that made me chuckle.

the same with Maya Angelou's 'I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings'. Don't really think it was overly deep though, but well maybe others would disagree. It was rather interesting and somewhat emotional though I don't remember crying.

are you typically a fan of fiction or non-fiction? what are some good books you have read?

    My Place by Sally Morgan.

Although, it may not do its job for you. I found it to be quite full-on because it's about Aboriginals and the way they've been treated over 3 generations by white Australians.

Exchange by Paul Magrs is good, especially if you like reading! also A Gathering Light by Jennifer Donnelly is very very good if you want bittersweet.
