no dont use any fertilizer until the plant begins to buds, a seedling does not need these nutrients and can lead to sickend seedlings

MG - All purpose soil usually has time release nutes in it, can sometimes burn young seedlings.

Like they're saying, lay off the fertilizer. Use your finger to feel up the soil. You want it to be barely moist, not soggy, not dry. Sometimes that is 4x per day, but it could be every 2 or 3 days. Lean toward being on the dry side rather than the moist side.

wow, we want the guy to get some yield dont we?

Even in MG soil, the plant will need fertilizer. When using preferted I will not fertiilze until the seed leaves turn yellow. At that time fertilizer at 25% can be used. Peters is excellent, 1/4tsp per gallon. until the next set of leaves up begin to yellow, then up to 1/2tsp per gallon. and so on.
rarely will you ever use full stregnth nutrients in Veg. if you are, you are risking lockout.

    ^ This is great advice.

As the generics go Peters is always a great choice. The best advice is patience and learn to read the leaves. If a problem occurs it is generally due to overapplication (water/nutes) and then overreaction (more water/nutes).

For MG soil the "green" bag is more preferred than the ozmicote "blue" bag.

-> Everytime I type MG I wait for THCammo to swing by and write "Just say no to Miracle Grow!" :)
