i have four cats - a neutered male and an unspayed female prefer staying downstairs in the basement (where it's cool), and i have 2 unspayed females living primarily upstairs. i've always found it odd that when the two upstairs cats go into heat, they don't let me alone. they seem to feel the need to constantly be with me. they'll sit outside my bedroom door and meow until they're let in. they just love getting attention when they're in heat. oddly enough, they don't care about the other members of my family when they're in heat. they only seem to want to be with me. now, my question is: why do they want to be with me, and not other members of my family?
They probably feel a conection with you out of everyone else in the family, simple as that. My friends female cat is the same way.
