When I was younger, I foresaw many events through dreams e.g. an old friend I'd lost contact with moving back into town. I haven't had any of these types of dreams in years and would like to get them back. I just found an article on keeping a dream journal. The author mentions many benefits including making dreams more lucid. It sounds like a great start. Does anyone keep a dream journal? http://www.divinecaroline.com/article/22201/27317/?CMP=KNC-DC_YSM_6 -Sophie
I've kept a dream journal in the past but never been able to maintain it for more than a month or so. They are a great thing to have, it's just tough to write your dreams down every day as soon as you wake up. Good luck and kudos to you if you can keep it going.
i kept many, for a very long time. it was a while ago since i last kept a good one. but they work really well, i try and write them down every morning, but sometimes i forget. in fact, im gunna start working on mine again, as soon as i go to sleep. i like to draw a pretty picture in the front of my book, just to make it a big deal. in my experience, ure more inclined to write ure dreams down wen u wake up if its an important thing while ure awake.
Dream journals really do work.. I have kept them in the past, but somehow lost motivation to keep up with it.
SophieW - Great article on Journaling Dreams. Has got me totally psyched! I'm going to start my journal in the morning.
I used to keep a Dream Journal this makes me want to start all over again because I've been having crazy dreams! When I was younger I told my self for about 3 minutes before I went to sleep to wake up after every dream, it usually worked, Id wake up 4-5 times a night and my journal and pen where right next to me so I could jsut quickly wirte it and fall back asleep.
Dreams have always interested me and this sight had some really cool interpretations! I'm going to go record my dreams and see what people have to say!
I write down my dreams that 'feel big' or are just funny. I don't record the ones that don't feel as important, like regular anxiety dreams the ones where I'm just repeating daily activities etc. I would write more if I had time, but I don't, so I do what I can. It definitely has helped my recall though, but even more so it helps interpretation, because I can look back at them a week, month, or year later and remember what all I was dealing with at the time. This often makes things a lot easier to sort through.
I keep a dream journal and have been for a few months now. I do it to improve my dream recall and to help me towards getting lucid dreams. My dream recall has really improved since I started writing down my dreams. Sometimes I can even remember 3 dreams I had in one night. I recommend having a dream journal, it's also fun to look back and read about dreams you've had.
