I'm writing this because nobody I know has ever heard of them, and it isn't the type of genre my friends likeThey are my favourite band and have been for a few years now. It's sad that nobody I meet has heard of them, because I think that John Butler is one of the greatest musicians ever. He plays the guitar like no one I have seen, and each perfomance of a song is different because he improvises. He's spellbinding. If you have listened to one of his solo songs, then you will know what I'm talking about. It's a seriously spiritual experience when you listen to him, and even more so when you watch him. Anyway, I'm rambling. If you haven't heard of JBT, then I recommend you give them a listen. If you have heard of them and like them, then I would love to talk!
JB is a badass guitarist. There is some talk of JBT in the music forum, I believe. Got to see them at the Roo this year, and I'm totally loving Grand National right now.
Grand National is an amazing album, and agree with everything the OP said. Great band, worth checking out. I can't wait for the chance to see them live.
