if you've got dry locks, dont use this stuff! it made my dreads so dry i thought they were effed up for good. ps my hair was dread permed first, so anybody with a dread perm get something more moisturizing. just a tip. im so glad i found this forum! thanks so much to everyone for all the good advice. i wish i had found you before dr bronner, though! haha
Dr. Bonner's is good... its the dread perm that caused your hair to be so dry.... using DR.B my hair is in better condition then when i used to use 'normal' shampoo and conditioner. maybe try using some 100% aloe gel on your locks, it should help quite a bit good luck and make sure you post some pictures of your dreads soon!
I got this shampoo by paul michell its tea tree shampoo and it works great. Its green and it smells like tea. When I put it on my head it has this..."icey hot" feel. It tingles till I wash it out. Good stuff. Here....
i was using a clarifying shampoo that was working great. soft dreads. then i used bronners. i know the dread perm made my hair dry- but the bronners made it way worse. just a heads up to people with dread perms! thanks for the recs on the shampoos i will post a pic soon!
numbero uno-- what's a dread perm??i have never heard of that in my life.. numbero dos-- dr. b is definately my friend. i do have slightly oily hair though, so i think the dr just evens my hair out, oil-wise.. i buy the HUGE bottles of the dr, and refill a couple of the smaller bottles at the same time. its grate!
