A woman was in an elevator. She was frightened. She sat down. She laughed and stood up. Why?

 

Was she in an elevating roller coaster?

 

Here's a clue:

She was not alone in the elevator and there was a misunderstanding.

Hah, yeah. It was oddly specific. I didn't get this one either. maybe I've lost my touch. Anyroad, here's the answer:

The woman was from out of town and had heard stories of violence and muggings in the big city. She found herself alone in an elevator with a large, fearsome-looking man who had a big Alsatian dog. The man said, "Sit Lady!"
The terrified woman sat down only to see the dog do the same. The man cheerfully helped her up and they had a laugh at the incident.


Pretty silly. I'll give you one that's not's that specific:

She died because she packed too quickly. How did she die?

HINT: She packed one essential item for a particular kind of journey. She packed material and string.

 

Think i will have to sleep on this one...lol, my brain totally fazzled at the moment

 

She was going skydiving and while packing the parachute, she did it too quickly, and messed up. The parachute didn't open correctly and she died!

It was during the Battle of the Bulge. The Germans would disguise themselves as Americans and go around, asking people who Mickey Mouse's girlfriend was, in an American accent.
